Old Roman street

These are some amazing Roman ruins you can see in the south of Italy.

The name of the site is Egnatia like the name of the ancient city that was flourished alongside the main street that lead to Rome.

It is amazing for me to see how this very ancient street come out from the ground thanks to the archaeological excavations, and at the end of the site they get back underground keeping their route in secret until Rome at least 500km away from there.

That street was so famous that the whole city of Egnatia was build because of it.

But the thing that blow my mind the most is that few meters away, outside the site you can see the modern street that is used nowadays following exactly the same path of the old one.
