The Best Ceviche in Margarita Island 🦐 - Eng/Esp

Hi Hivers friends, I hope you're doing amazingly well! I'm doing great, because I'm coming on the weekend and it's a holiday at my job, so I have Monday and Tuesday off, wiii!

You know that a year and a half ago, when I arrived to Margarita Island, I was recommended some great ceviches that worked only with delivery and one day I decided to try them and since that day I married them, they use quality products and the ceviches are really delicious and with fresh fish. Some time later I found out that they opened a store, which makes me very happy because it is a venture of a couple who started doing everything at home and with their motorcycle they offered delivery, but they were very careful in their presentations and were very detailed, placing their logo on the package and the bag, besides they gave the ceviche with two side dishes: yucca and plantain chips, passion fruit and tamarind reductions, which was very tasty.

Currently, they are located in the Valley and the place they opened is in a kind of container at the edge of the street, with a nice decoration, I found the place very cozy and they have wifi and an area to charge your phone. The ceviche I ate was just as good when I ordered it by delivery and I thought that since the place had opened, they were not currently working with delivery, but they still continue to do so.

I was informed that every other Sunday they make a huge pot of "fosforera" to sell to the public. Fosforera is a kind of soup or broth of intense orange color, which has all the species of the sea, especially shrimp and crab, that is why it gives it an intense color, it also has other species of sea and a seasoning of onion, bell pepper and chili that give it that delicious flavor in soups; the consistency is creamy and the flavor is 100% sea. I love this dish and here on Margarita Island I haven't found a place that sells good fosforeras, so if anyone is from Margarita or knows of a place where they sell good fosforeras, I would love to hear about it by writing me in the comments, because I will surely go to try them.

This food place is called "CEVICHEXPRESSMGTA" and apart from selling one of the best ceviches I have tasted here in Margarita Island, they also sell their products such as shrimp, fish, octopus, etc. in a vacuum presentation and the shrimp is vacuum packed, in a vacuum packed presentation and the shrimp they usually use are huge, but that depends a lot on the season; however, big or small, the seasoning is always exquisite and the tamarind and parchita/passion fruit sauces they make to spread with the ceviche, I feel it is their touch or that unique personality of theirs.

I think I would have loved to take my mom @kristal24 to this place when she was in Margarita Island because I know she would have loved it, because even though the island is not big, it has many ventures and it is difficult to coordinate and go to all of them in 2 months which was the time she was here with my grandmother, but I know that soon we will have the opportunity to enjoy again and in that opportunity I will take you mommy.

Another thing I really like about this place is their customer service and that even though it is not very big and it is designed as a fast food place, they work with very fresh food and I have never had bad food. I think it is important to emphasize this because the ceviche is very, very delicate, since it is eaten practically raw, and I say "practically" because the fish is marinated with lemon for a few minutes, and then it is cooked.

¡Hola amigos Hivers, espero que estén increíblemente bien! Yo estoy súper bien, porque llego el fin de semana y aparte es feriado en mi trabajo, por lo que tengo lunes y martes libre, wiii!!

Saben que hace un año y dele, cuando llegué a la Isla de Margarita, me recomendaron unos ceviches buenísimos que trabajaban únicamente con delivery y un día decidí probarlos y desde ese día me casé con ellos, usaban/usan productos de calidad y los ceviches son realmente ricos y con pesca fresca. Un tiempo después me enteré de que abrieron un local, cosa que me alegra bastante porque es un emprendimiento de una pareja que empezaron haciéndolo todo en casa y con su moto ofrecían delivery, pero se esmeraban mucho en sus presentaciones y eran muy detallistas, colocando su logotipo en el envase y la bolsa, aparte daban el ceviche con dos acompañamientos chips de yuca y plátano, reducciones de parchita/maracuyá y tamarindo, lo que estaba muy rico.

Actualmente, están ubicados en el Valle y el local que abrieron queda en una especie de contenedor a la orilla de la calle, con una decoración bien agradable, me pareció muy acogedor el lugar y tienen wifi y zona para cargar tu teléfono. El ceviche que me comí estaba igual de bueno cuando los pedía a delivery y pensé que por haber abierto el local, no trabajaban actualmente con delivery, pero aún siguen haciéndolo.

Me informaron que un domingo sí y un domingo no, hacen una olla enorme de “fosforera” para vender al público. La Fosforera es una especie de sopa o caldo de color naranja intenso, que lleva todas las especies de mar, en especial camarones y cangrejo, por eso le da un color intenso, aparte lleva otras especies de mar y un aliño de cebolla, pimiento y ají que le dan ese sabor riquísimo en las sopas; la consistencia es cremosa y el sabor es 100% mar. Yo amo este plato y aquí en la Isla de Margarita no he dado con un lugar que vendan unas buenas fosforeras, por lo que si alguien es de Margarita o saben de algún lugar donde vendan buenas fosforeras, me encantaría que me lo recomendaran escribiéndome en los comentarios, porque de seguro iré a probarlas.

Este lugar de comida se llama “CEVICHEXPRESSMGTA” y aparte de vender uno de los mejores ceviches que he probado aquí en la Isla de Margarita, también venden sus productos como camarones, pescado, pulpo, etc., en una presentación al vacío y los camarones normalmente que utilizan son enormes, pero eso ya depende mucho de la temporada; sin embargo, grandes o pequeños, la sazón siempre es exquisita y las salsas de tamarindo y parchita/maracuyá que hacen para untar con el ceviche, siento que es su toque o esa personalidad única de ellos.

Pienso que me hubiese encantado poder llevar a mi mamá @kristal24 a este lugar cuando estuvo en la Isla de Margarita porque sé que le hubiese encantado, porque a pesar de que la isla no es grande, tiene muchos emprendimientos y es difícil poder coordinar e ir a todos en 2 meses que fue el tiempo que estuvo aquí con mi abuela, pero sé que pronto tendremos la oportunidad de volver a disfrutar y en esa oportunidad sí que te llevaré mami.

Otra de las cosas que me gusta mucho de este lugar es su atención al público y que a pesar de que no es muy grande y está diseñado como comida al paso, trabajan con comida muy fresca y jamás me ha caído mal. Pienso que eso es importante recalcarlo porque el ceviche es muy pero muy delicado, ya que se come prácticamente crudo y digo "prácticamente" porque al ser marinado con limón unos minutos, ya estaría cocinado el pescado.
