It's one of these. A friend is distributor for them and got me a good deal. It is good enough for my needs.

It might be more of a mid-range even if it looks the part. Some studio mics cost many thousands. This did not, but then it still converts sound to electricity and does it fairly well. You pay a lot more for small improvements.
