Demo of my newly acquired Les Paul Junior (not a Gibson)

I posted at the weekend about the second hand guitar I just bought. It is an Epiphone that has been made to look more like a Gibson, but I was well aware of that and did not pay a Gibson price. I know someone who bought a 'Martin' that was a cheap guitar with some stickers added. Buyer beware!

As a budget guitar it is perfectly playable with a good tone for rock and punk. The frets show some wear, but then it is 14 years old. I may get that seen to. I also noticed that the knobs are numbered the wrong way around. I guess they might be right for a left-handed guitar. I do not tend to look at them much, but I will consider changing them. They just seem to be very securely attached and I do not want to damage anything getting them off.

A different guitar can affect how you play, so I welcome some fresh inspiration. I need to learn some new songs.

Rock on!

Sounds great man. Thanks for posting this! Seems like your guitar skills are getting pretty slick!

Cheers. I need to keep on practising and learning songs. It helps keep me sane.

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

Wow, that's a great sound! Your skills are better than mine, trust me :)

After 40 years of playing I ought to be better :)

I see you just joined Hive. Hope you find some cool people to follow. You could check out the guitar community. I do a #FollowFriday post each week with suggestions. Will do one later today.

Sweet guitar... Looks like you're putting together a nice studio for yourself too.

Cheers

Sounds great. Have fun with it!

Now you have me wanting an electric guitar! Sounds really nice. I think you got a pretty good deal from what it looks like. Even with a little wear and tear here and there.

For what I paid it's a good guitar. They are strange things as one that cost 10x as much might look much the same and it's little things like nicer wood or better hardware that you pay for, as well as where it is made. This is made in China as opposed to the US.

Is this a 'Pro Studio Mic'? ;)

It's one of these. A friend is distributor for them and got me a good deal. It is good enough for my needs.

Does look like one of these...

It might be more of a mid-range even if it looks the part. Some studio mics cost many thousands. This did not, but then it still converts sound to electricity and does it fairly well. You pay a lot more for small improvements.

You need to stake more BEER (24 staked BEER allows you to call BEER one time per day)
