Todo comenzó hace un año más o menos, ya mi papá había logrado reunir la cantidad de dinero que necesitaba para la compra de una unidad (motor), es decir para re-motorizar su berjovina soviético a 100 cc y adaptarle el kit (accesorios y piezas) de una motocicleta ax100. Desde algún tiempo en Cuba, el Ministerio de Transporte, había aprobado una ley que permitía hacer está series de cambios para los vehículos de motor.

Quiero esclarecer que el objetivo de este cambio era para mejorar en potencia y ahorrar gasolina, ya que el berjovina tenía muchas fallas mecánicas por tantos años de explotación y prácticamente no tenía fuerza.
Therefore, my father as owner of the motorcycle and very cautious person started all the legal procedures, the first thing he did was to request the Annex 2 (document authorizing the change of unit) and then we took the task of acquiring through SASA (importing and marketing entity) a new unit. I want to clarify that the purpose of this change was to improve in power and save gasoline, since the berjovina had many mechanical failures for so many years of operation and practically had no strength.

Estructura del cuadro ax100./ ax100 frame structure..Como es conocido, en nuestro país todo es complejo y más para una persona que actúa estrictamente según lo establecido por la ley, durante el proceso para intentar comprar la unidad, mi padre y yo estuvimos varias noches sin dormir, en colas interminables, rectificando hasta dos veces en el día, a la espera de que vendieran la anhelada unidad. Por suerte el esfuerzo valió la pena, pudo comprar una de las mejores marcas que se comercializaron: la Suzuki ax100 japonesa. Luego de esto, tuvimos que pagar por un proyecto técnico elaborado por la universidad para adaptar la unidad y reforzar el cuadro para que soportara las piezas y aditamentos del kit ax110. (Todo según los parámetros y medidas).
As is well known, in our country everything is complex and even more so for a person who acts strictly according to the law, during the process of trying to buy the unit, my father and I spent several sleepless nights, in endless queues, rectifying up to twice a day, waiting for them to sell the longed-for unit. Luckily the effort was worth it, he was able to buy one of the best brands that were marketed: the Japanese Suzuki ax100. After that, we had to pay for a technical project elaborated by the university to adapt the unit and reinforce the frame to support the parts and attachments of the ax110 kit (all according to the parameters and measurements).
Según la ley a partir de la fecha de aprobación del proyecto, el propietario, tiene hasta un año para realizar los cambios necesarios. Supuestamente las modificaciones a la moto deben realizarse en un taller que este certificado, pero realmente no es así, la gran mayoría de estos trabajos se ejecutan con personas que tengan las habilidades y conocimientos, es decir trabajadores que laboran por cuenta propia y que no están vinculadas a ninguna entidad, algunos ni si quiera poseen la patente que los acredite. En nuestro caso, el trabajo lo ejecutó un vecino soldador que trabaja en una MYPYME (Pequeña Empresa) de chapistería y soldadura, en conjunto con la asesoría de mi papá que es ingeniero mecánico. Para que el trabajo nos saliera más económico tuvimos que conseguir todos los recursos, es decir, tubos de 1 y 1/2 pulgadas, chapas de 3 y de 4 mm, electrodos, discos de corte y desbaste, lijas, pintura negra; además de contratar el servicio de un tornero para la fabricación de algunos elementos necesarios.

Supposedly the modifications to the motorcycle must be done in a certified workshop, but this is not really the case, the vast majority of these works are executed by people who have the skills and knowledge, i.e. workers who are self-employed and are not linked to any entity, some do not even have the patent that accredits them. In our case, the work was carried out by a neighboring welder who works in a MYPYME (Small Business) of sheet metal and welding, in conjunction with the advice of my dad who is a mechanical engineer. To make the work more economical we had to get all the resources, i.e., 1 and 1/2 inch pipes, 3 and 4 mm plates, electrodes, cutting and grinding discs, sandpaper, black paint; besides hiring the service of a lathe operator for the manufacture of some of the necessary elements.

Actualmente el equipo aprobó el “somatón” o inspección técnica en Transporte Holguín, pero está a la espera de la revisión de los documentos para la posterior actualización de la circulación en el registro vehículos.Creo que estéticamente el motorcito mejoró bastante, y en la mecánica un 100%, al ser un motor de dos tiempos es muy sencillo su mantenimiento y reparación. Es muy eficiente ya que tiene muy buena ingeniería y ahorra bastante gasolina, aspectos sumamente importantes en estos tiempos. Amigos espero que le haya gustado esta publicación, hasta pronto.

Entiendo perfectamente que es más fácil describir el proceso que llevarlo a buen término Lo digo por experiencia propia, yo también convertí mi verjovin en un suzuki 125, o como dice la circulación verjovin 125 😆, y la verdad es un proceso realmente estresante. Felicidades por esa conversión, solo los que pasamos por esa experiencia sabemos la verdadera magnitud de ese logro.
