Fuente/Source Hola amigos, hoy les comentaré un tema que ha cobrado mucho protagonismo en Cuba durante el último lustro: El comercio electrónico. Creo que esta actividad juega un papel crucial en el proceso de informatización de la sociedad cubana. A pesar de ello, existen muchas lagunas e insatisfacciones por condiciones (objetivas y subjetivas) que atentan contra el desarrollo del mismo. En el artículo abordaré específicamente sobre lo que representan las tiendas virtuales para la gran mayoría de las personas que hacemos uso de estos servicios.
Hello friends, today I will comment on a topic that has gained a lot of prominence in Cuba during the last five years: E-commerce. I believe that this activity plays a crucial role in the informatization process of Cuban society. Despite this, there are many gaps and dissatisfactions due to conditions (objective and subjective) that hinder its development. In this article I will deal specifically with what virtual stores represent for the vast majority of people who make use of these services.
Plataforma TuEnvio / TuEnvio PlatformEn el año 2019 iniciaron las primeras pruebas de la plataforma TuEnvio donde las corporaciones CIMEX y tiendas CARIBE fueron las encargadas de vender sus productos. En aquel momento la única pasarela de pago era Transfermovil y los artículos principalmente que se comercializaban era de primera necesidad, es decir: alimentos y aseo. Rápidamente me configuré una cuenta y comencé a comprar a través de la web en la tienda virtual de mi provincia Holguín. Todo marchaba bien, hice varias compras con modalidad a domicilio y el tiempo de entrega estaba acorde a lo establecido por el proveedor. Posteriormente empezó el incremento de usuarios y por tanto las peticiones al sitio fueron con más frecuencia. Los usuarios más avanzados comenzaron a utilizar macros y aplicaciones para automatizar las compras. La plataforma colapsó, los especialista de DATACIMEX iniciaron en conjunto con ETECSA mantenimientos para corregir las supuestas vulnerabilidades y brechas de seguridad que provocaron la congestión del servicio. Luego llegó la COVID19 a la isla y las tiendas empezaron a vender con la modalidad de combos (conjunto de varios artículos, es decir que se incluyen productos de lento movimiento). Actualmente TuEnvio está en su versión 2.0, cada vez con más restricciones, las compras solo pueden ejecutarse cada 7 días y no se pueden repetir usuarios y beneficiarios durante ese periodo. También cuenta con la modalidad de ventas en dos monedas (CUP y MLC) y hace uso de las dos pasarelas de pago (Enzona y Transfermovil).

Later on, the number of users increased and therefore the requests to the site were more frequent. More advanced users began to use macros and applications to automate purchases. The platform collapsed and DATACIMEX specialists, together with ETECSA, began maintenance work to correct the supposed vulnerabilities and security breaches that caused service congestion. Then COVID19 arrived on the island and stores began to sell in combos (a set of several items, i.e. slow-moving products). Currently TuEnvio is in its 2.0 version, with more and more restrictions, purchases can only be executed every 7 days and users and beneficiaries cannot be repeated during that period. It also offers sales in two currencies (CUP and MLC) and makes use of two payment gateways (Enzona and Transfermovil).

Otras empresas se han sumado a esta actividad en línea como son: SASA y COPEXTEL, principalmente realizan sus ventas desde el exterior (pagos en USD). CUPET también vende los cilindros de gas licuado a través de la web, otro producto con alta demanda y poca oferta. A día de hoy es una tarea titánica añadir al carrito de compras algún producto, ya que todas las tiendas venden en un horario determinado y la mercancía solo está disponible por unos pocos segundos debido a la alta concurrencia de usuarios y la escaza oferta. A esto se le suma la crisis con el transporte, por lo que el método de entrega predeterminado la mayoría de las ocasiones es de recogida en tienda y a mí entender el principal objetivo de este tipo de comercio es que tenga entrega a domicilio. Personalmente creo que mientras persistan estas dificultades, las tiendas virtuales en Cuba lejos de ser la deseada solución, provocan malestar, estrés y frustración en la gran mayoría de las personas que diariamente intentamos hacer uso de este importante pero mal implementado servicio.
