My first entry to terminal redfish rally; reading rules/tips challenge.
In this edition we as ralliers are to read and understand the the rules and tips guiding this challenge, after which we are to make a blog on the tips that most likely affects us. We have 2 sections of tips, one in May and the other in June. So in this blog, i am going to be writing on a few of the tips.

JOIN COMMUNITIES:
I found out that here on hive, if you must succeed, you must learn to network. And how do you achieve that, by joining communities and being active, just like i illustrated with the above image. On hive there are a whole lots of communities, so it is advisable for all newbies to locate and join these communities. These are communities to join of which the terminal is one of them. When you join communities you will be able to connect with people new people and blog in the category of your choice. You will definitely see communities that share in your likes and interest. Another advantage of joining a community is that your community members will definitely vote and support you. So it is very much important to join communities and make friend than to just publish posts. This is the more reason why we have blogs of some people having more votes than others. As a newbie that just joined hive, take your time first to connect with people than being in a haste to publish hundreds of blogs at the same time. I can imagine how it feels when you open your page at all time and you are always seeing $0.00 dollar at all time, but you see other people's post with less quality content and you are wandering, what could be the issue. There is no big deal in it, the other person understood the need for networking and connection and it is working perfect for him. This is one of the major challenges newbies use to encounter once they come onboard on hive. I myself encountered this challenge, my blogs weren't doing well at all, i was confused and was wondering what the problem is, not until my mentor @focusnow had to show me some of these secrets. And when i saw it in our rally tip, i was like this is the key.
BAD BLOG AND GOOD BLOG.
As a newbie or hive chain user, you must avoid bad blog. Examples of bad blogs includes:
Not sourcing images or quotes: This is seen as one of the offences(plagiarism) on hive. It is required that when you use images or make posts that are not your original content, you make reference to the source. You are liable to enter into black list, if caught in the act of plagiarism.
Not engaging after publishing: Most newbies does that, i even did it when i joined hive. I will make a post and just go my way, until i learnt how to reply on comments. It is still a good way to maintain relationships. When someone drops a comment on your post, do well to reply. And not just replying, but reply meaningfully. Even some meaningful replies and comments can earn one a vote.
Another bad post is posting an image without giving an explanation of what you are portraying. These are likely not going to help your content. So basically, a bad blog is one in which hivians and readers takes their time to read and comment and there is no response/reply to such comments, it is very bad. On the other hand a good blog is one with comments and a corresponding response.
POSTING IN RALLY ROOM PROMO.
This is one of the tips that is so essential to me as a rallier. We have our terminal discord rooms for ralliers, there is #post-promo-100 room where we can post our link. After publishing a rally contest post don't forget to post the link to your post there. This is the only way your participation to the contest will count. Again it is expedient to support one another as ralliers. Before dropping the link to your post, you just say for instance supported @talktofaith, then drop your contest link on the next line after it. When you enter a contest and publish your blog, be careful to make your entry on the account of the contest, right at the comment section of the blog.
Out of the many important tips/rules, i found these so fundamental to me.
Thank you for reading through my post.
And a shoutout thank you to @theterminal for hosting this contest to help newbies like myself.
Excellent post @talktofaith. I'm so glad that you found the TIPS useful. That is the reason we place them for the Ralliers so that past experience from what we found to be useful can teach you all now. It's so funny you mention it about you first heard about engagement from someone else. I've read from scholarly journals that it normally takes a person 4 or 5 times hearing something for them to act upon it. I think it has to do with confirmation that more than one person thought the same, so it must be true, lol.
Anyway, I'm happy to hear that you will now take this advice and apply it to your future blogging career on Hive. And also the tip about support. There's a saying that "you get what you give." This is so true on any social media platform. So support and engage with others, and you may get the same. It won't happen overnight. You have to develop any two-way relationship.
Thanks so much for participating in this 1st challenge. Now go have some fun and enter some CONTESTS. You may just win some Hive or Tokens on the blockchain.
Take care.
@justclickindiva yeah i have really learnt, although not used to the act, but since it is needful, i just have to.
That's great. Now how about tackling the Terminal Discord rooms Quest. This is a fun one as you get to investigate what is in each room in the Terminal and tell which ones you like and how they can help you.
If we follow the advice and rules, most likely we will be seeing how visits to our publications grow, I am sure we understood them in this first moment. Very good your publication.
@valquerales you are so correct. I believe in every business that works there is a secret to it. But most of us doesn't care to find out the secret that works on hive, we just start blogging and at the end, the person ends up being frustrated.
Congratulations @talktofaith! You have completed the following achievement on the Hive blockchain and have been rewarded with new badge(s) :
You can view your badges on your board And compare to others on the Ranking

Support the HiveBuzz project. Vote for our proposal!
Certainly, when we are new somewhere, we must begin to make community and friends in order to be observed and visited. This has a lot of influence since these friends we know on the platform share our information and send it to more people. Thank you for giving us a little more tips and advice.
@marievar yeah certainly.
