If you think that shooting bees is hard, you haven't met this little fly yet. Bees are slow comparing to this guy and they take their time on the flower.
This little one flies fast between them (reminds me another little bee that I could never shoot properly), east fast and is on the move again!
I haven't seen those before. Quite round with coppery-brown butts and small heads. I tried to ID, but no luck.
It's a fly :D
And after I spotted that one I started to see them all over the flowers. A field full of blooming Rockroses was like a paradise for all kinds of insects (and their predators too).

You must have spent a good amount of time trying to obtain that perfect shot. As you said, these insects are much quicker than a traditional bee.

Those flies were so cute! And there was so many of them. I could shoot more, but in the end of the day they all just looked the same :P

One of the needle nose flies, family tabanidae. They are related to horse flies but these little guys suck nectar, not blodd

Yep :) They are also work as pollinators. Not as popular as bees though.

That's why I like to shoot them.
Nothing beats the bees though. They are masters in getting covered in pollen. They just roll in it! :D
