He is different from other wooden grasshoppers

Hello Guys !!!

Personally I myself don't like any insect species except butterflies, wasps, bees and a few other beautiful species, basically I don't like insect species that are pests to plants, because in my opinion, their presence in my garden or in every flower plant is very painful, always crushing my beautiful and charming flowers.

Moreover, species that are very fast in chewing or eating each new young leaf, eventually the plant withers or looks not beautiful because it does not have time to flower, as well as fruit plants always destroy the flowers that have just appeared or that have grown (just come out) from the shoots of the stems, so that the flowering process becomes stunted and eventually withers and does not develop.

However!

I was amazed when I saw this wooden grasshopper, I felt sorry for him or became attracted to him, because he was different from the Order itself. The difference is so striking in his behavior that I continue to observe, in simple observation I get some differences against him that is different from his brother, these differences are such as:

  1. Has an athletic body and is larger in size than other wood grasshoppers
  2. Has a bright red color on the two hamstrings, while the common wood grasshopper has a brown color.
  3. It has a yellow color on its stomach, while other wood grasshoppers have a brown color
  4. If you notice this grasshopper has 2 charms, half of its body resembles a leaf grasshopper, and half of its body on the other has a posture similar to other wooden grasshoppers
  5. The antenna is longer than its fungus
  6. The whole body does not have a doff brown color but reddish brown and yellowish.

His behavior

If we talk about behavior, of course every animal, even plants, has unique and amazing behavior, meaning that every animal has different behavior, different types, so the behavior that is excluded from its activities is different.

However, each of the same species certainly has the same behavior, for example, each monarch butterfly has the same character, or each larva has the same characteristics, as well as the wood grasshopper it also has the same behavior.

Then, what about the behavior of this wooden grasshopper?

From the results of my observations in a few hours, I saw a difference in behavior between wood grasshoppers in general and this one wooden grasshopper. It turns out that I got some satisfying results and maybe this is one of the new, accurate information in the field even though I'm not an insect expert. Behaviors that differ from the results of this simple observation are:

  1. The movement is very slow, even the jump is not as fast as the common wood grasshopper in general
  2. Always isolate themselves from the group (wood grasshopper group), while other wooden grasshoppers always live in groups although sometimes it is seen that there are also those who separate themselves from their habitat
  3. They have a distinctive voice when they see someone passing by, but they will not move or run, whereas the common wooden grasshopper rarely makes a sound and will always avoid anyone passing
  4. His favorite food is in the form of leaves of wild plants that grow wild in empty plantations and are very rarely found in plants cultivated by cultivators, he often uses wild plants as host plants.

Number and distribution area

If you look at the population in the area where I took the photo, it can be said that, it has a small amount, which means that its existence is very difficult, which many people encounter are generally brown grasshoppers which have a completely brown color on all parts of the body. It's very rare to find something like this especially in our region, but I also don't know whether there are many in your area or not.

In my opinion, this grasshopper is very special and fits well in the "Interesting Insects" and "Extraordinary Realms" sections of the insect-loving community. Because he is different from the others, I purposely took some of his photos or photos, and I uploaded them on a platform that we all like, namely Hive.blog through "Fastinacinginsects". Maybe the photos are not as good as those of professional friends, but this is my ability in the art of taking pictures. Come on! Let's take a look at some of the pictures I managed to capture in this post:

Nature and its contents sometimes make us amazed when we explore it, we will get amazing things, sometimes the differences are very striking and sometimes nature contributes sufficiently to certain fields so that humans learn on their own then conclude and inform those who follow, in trail and summarize it. That's it for today, I hope you like it and hopefully it's useful.

Thank you very much :-)
