Wait, not all pitches are the same size? I guess I would have thought they were. Like a worldwide standard or something like that. I guess all baseball parks are a bit different on the outfield, but that still shocks me.

No there some rules about the min and max size of a pitch, but teams may choose the length and width of the pitch within these parameters at the start of the season. Once set, it is set for the season.
