I don't think they tried their best. I feel they were too relaxed. They thought the Elephants were a work over for them. They undermined the Ivorians and they got served. I think the Eagles deserved what they got
The phrase clarify everything, that was what happened, they thought it was nothing to worry about, meanwhile, the ivorians wanted to win, the match came out in another route for them and it was on the dying minutes they realize themselves but it was too late to score a goal.
You are right. I believe they must have learnt a lesson from this.
