When Mumbai Indians played in last 2 IPL seasons, they kept on sinking inspite of big names such as Rohit Sharma, Surya Kumar Yadav and all.
But, still they finished among top 4 at the end of league matches.
One batter who was mainly responsible for this was Tilak Varma who is now a sought after name after his debut against the Caribbean West Indies team as the current series is going on.
Tilak Varma didn't get a chance in One Day International format because of all the senior players played the ODI's.
But for the T20 Internationals, India rested Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli and opened the gates for young players like Tilak Varma and recently in last match, even Yashasvi Jaiswal also made his debut.

But the person who has made most use of the opportunity is Tilak Varma who started his T20 International career with scores of 39 from 22 balls, 51 from 41 balls and in last match which completed yesterday, he scored 49 not out from 37 balls and thus is a leading score after 3 matches in the T20 series.

Tilak Varma is just 20 years old and is touted as the next big thing along with Yashasvi Jaiswal to server Indian Cricket after the likes of Rohit Shrma, Virat Kohli retires and being a left handed batter just like Jaiswal, Tilak has that natural flair and can be a good option to bat at position 3 or 4.
There are already rumor's that, he may even get into the Indian ODI squad which will play in Asia Cup given his current form.
India will soon have to go through the transition of replacing the senior players given the current ages of most of the senor players and the young guys like Ishan Kishan, Shubamn Gill, Yashasvi Jaiswal along with Tilak Varma will form the core of that new Indian team.
Looking forward to him to play even better in the last matches to be played in Foorida and have more chances of getting into the One Day Internationals for Asia Cup.

Love this guy. He’s my favourite young player in world cricket. When you watch him bat, it’s difficult to believe that he’s only 20 years old! So much talent but also so much composure
Definitely, he looks more matured in terms game play for a 20 year old guy.
With players like Sanju Samson getting many opportunities but not performing as per expectations, is a blessing in disguise for Varma and he seems like cemented #4 for now atleast in T20 Internationals.
