Hello Sports Lovers,

How are you all doing?

It's been my First Sports post in more than a year as I felt like writing about the recently concluded Wimbled Final match between the legendary Novak Djokovic and young sensation Carlos Alcaraz.

Well, after I got interest in watching Tennis, the most remarkable names I have watched/followed are, Pete Sampras, Andre Agassi and the BIG 3 Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal.

And now, we have a young prodigy of 20 year old, Carlos Alcaraz who is making news with his Second Grand slam in an year's space and that by beating the favorite to win the title here, i.e. Novak Djokovic.

This victory has not only marked a breakthrough for the young player, but also signaled a potential rise of young generation signaling the end of monopoly of BIG 3.

Alcaraz's victory shows his immense potential and his relentless pursuit of greatness as he is still putting his initial steps on different surfaces and it's notable that he started playing on grass very recently and the victory at Wimbledon in this short span of time indicates his hungriness and his relentless practice to achieve such huge victories.

We do have few more players making the news off late apart from Carlos Alcaraz include the Casper Ruud, Stefanos Tsitsipas to name a few.

But, the more inspiring and making progress are Alcaraz and Casper Ruud as of now.

In winning this title, Alcaraz became just the Sixth player in tennis history to win 2 majors before turning 21 years old and he is also among the records for ending Djokovic's winning streak of not losing in Wimbledon since 2017.

And not that all, he also became the Third Spaniard to win Wimbledon apart from Rafael Nadal and Manolo Santana and Alacaraz has all the abilities to win many more and become the highest titles winner from Spain as Nadal is almost nursing injuries' and doesn't seem like making a come back soon!!!

There is even more bigger record achieved by Alcaraz as he became the First player to defeat Djokovic on Wimbledon center court in over 10 years!!! Yes, you read it right, Djokovic last lost a match on Centre court way back in 2013 to English player Andy Murray and this achievement by Alcaraz is thus more significant.

And with his victory in Wimbledon Final, he also achieved the rare distinction of beating all the top 20 players in just 20 years of age and guess what, he is already nearing the winnings of US$ 20 million as he moved from US$ 16 million to US$ 19 million with his victory amount of US$ 19,644,057!!!!

No doubt he is an inspiration to all the young kids who are aspiring to take up professional tennis, but also, he will be a force to reckon with in many more years to come as he is just 20 years old and who knows, he may shatter most of the records hold by the BIG 3 right now by the time he reaches the age of 30-32.

Well, that is not all, he also became the First player since 2002 to win a title apart from Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray!!!

Wow!!! isn't that amazing? So, no other player has won a Wimbledon title apart from BIG 4 until this final since 2002!!!! That's so unbelievable and shows the aggressiveness and dedication of the BIG 4 so far.

Let's spare a thought for the runner up, the great, the legendary Novak Djokovic, who is the all time record holder for more major wins with 23 numbers as with his last major at Rolland Garros and he is a winner of 7 Wimbledon titles and had a 34 match winning streak before his loss to Alcaraz!!!!

And at 36 years of age, Djokovic gave all his best to push the match to 5 setter against a 20 year old fit player of Alcaraz and that's something Djokovic should be proud of besides his runner up title.

No doubt, Djokovic lost the final, but, he is not someone to fold with that and is for sure will come back stronger as he has shown in the past and hopefully, he will win One more title at Wimbledon to equal the record of maximum majors holder with the current record being held by Serena Williams with 24 majors wins as against Djokovic's 23 as of now.

That has to be the major Sports news this week and I will be back with more Sports news in the coming days and looking forward to more conversation with you all!!!

Have a wonderful day ahead!!!!!
