My fear for him is if these players would respond and if they don't respond, I hope the board can back him to ship them out while he gets his players who would willingly fight for him. It all depends on the backing he gets and if they would allow him do his job.

That's exactly the issue. I think without the board backing him all the way this whole thing would be pointless.
