Spain and Switzerland locked horns together yesterday in the last eight of the euro 2020. The match was a thrilling one and it's not a surprise anyways. Switzerland beat the world champion France in a penalty shootout in the round of 16 but it seems they forgot their shooting boots in the dressing room during the penalty shootout against Spain because there were lots of misfire shots.

Spain began the match with so much intensity and it resulted in the first goal by Jordi Alba after the first corner of the game was taken. Jordi Alba shot struck the back of the net after a deflection from Denis zakaria. Even though Switzerland lost one of their key men they were still resilient and leveled the scores with Xherdan Shaqiri goal.

At the end of 90 minutes the scoreline was tied to 1-1 and they could not capitalise on each other's error during the course of the extra time. The penalty shootout started with some shocking moments when Sergio Busquets missed his first shots by hitting the Ball Against the post. This miss made a lot of football fans watching this match think that Switzerland are about to pull what they did against France but the reverse was the case as the penalty shootout ended with Spain Triumph against Switzerland.
