If you're an older member in PIZZA, you should remember @bacon-dub's regular live streamed GIF-making events. He has unfortunately mostly ceased all of those until yesterday, where he conducted a special lesson to teach anyone who is completely clueless in GIF-making ๐ฑ๐ฅณ.
We had quite a fair number of people tuning in to get some tips. This was only the start too, with a few more people joining later on as the lesson progressed
Well, unfortunately, I am unable to actually reproduce the tutorial in full ๐คฃ. But if you can figure out the steps in some of the screenshots I've taken, perhaps you can make something out of it. For the more earnest students out there, perhaps you could even drop by our PIZZA DISCORD to get some tips from Bacondub himself (if he has some free time).
As I understand, Adobe After Effects is not a free program though. For those who want to stick to the FREE options, @thebeardflex also demonstrated GIF making using Kapwing.
So as you can see, if the lack of a GIF making program is what's holding you back from joining the contest, here's 2 very good tools which can help you with it. It really isn't that hard to quickly learn how to use these programs, given how even a complete noob like me was able to get a handle on it. ๐
