What are the main enemies of the mind when it comes to achieving happiness?
Basically, ignorance. Especially the ignorance of not knowing that you don't know. Believing that you know everything there is to know makes you stick to your guns and repeat mistakes. Repeating situations that lead to unhappiness. Attitudes driven by fear, anger, attachment, confusion.
How to deal with ignorance?
The first step is to recognize it. Say: I don't know anything. That keeps you open to learning. The thing is, many people can't accept that uncertainty, they need quick answers, right now, and if they don't get them, they become anxious, and to avoid that, they make up answers.
Any answer that works for them for a while. But that keeps them in ignorance and repeating mistakes, and therefore in suffering. The best thing you can do is accept that you don't know and that you don't need to know everything to be happy. How to deal with fear? Fear arises precisely because of ignorance and because we don't accept it. We are terrified of what we don't know. Therefore, the best antidote to fear is acceptance. Fear is resistance to the unknown and, sometimes, resistance to the known as well. The best way to deal with it is acceptance. Trust that there is a higher being in control. All changes are difficult; they require effort and a little pain. But the choice is between a little pain (change) or a lot of pain (remaining trapped in our mistakes, blockages, suffering, and repeating them in perpetuity). Every time you have a problem, when you see it coming, look at it and ask yourself: can I control it or not? If it's in your hands, you solve it, and if not, you accept it. Once you accept the situation, you will no longer repeat the problem on a mental level; that is, you will no longer experience it with anxiety, fear, rejection, anger, etc. May we have peace beyond all understanding. Divine Creator, I surrender all memories of fear and uncertainty to you so that with your love you may transmute them into pure and radiant Light. Thank you, Father, for it is so! I'm sorry, forgive me, thank you, I love you. Have a happy and blessed day.
