Esta es mi participación para el Makeup Challenge Semana 8 organizado por las bellas @lucianav y @ambarvegas, cuya temática para esta semana es: FLORES. Las flores son un gran regalo de la naturaleza y, a mí personalmente, me encanta admirar la belleza que existe en ellas, siempre me dejo impresionar por sus hermosos colores. En esta oportunidad, realicé este reto de maquillaje en conjunto con mi amiga @keritroberts pues resulta ser que tenemos en común el gusto por los GIRASOLES...así que amiga, gracias por darme ánimos cuando mis girasoles no salieron como yo esperaba.
This is my participation for the Makeup Challenge Week 8 organized by the beautiful @lucianav and @ambarvegas, whose theme for this week is: FLORES. Flowers are a great gift from nature and, personally, I love to admire the beauty that exists in them, I always let myself be impressed by their beautiful colors. In this opportunity, I made this makeup challenge together with my friend @keritroberts because it turns out that we have in common the taste for SUNFLOWERS...so friend, thank you for encouraging me when my sunflowers did not turn out as I expected.
MI FLOR FAVORITA | MY FAVORITE FLOWER
Los Girasoles guardan un gran simbolismo pues ellos son sinónimos de vitalidad, energía y alegría e incluso en la cultura china esta flor simboliza la buena suerte, la felicidad y la salud. También, poseen una característica bastante particular: tienen la capacidad de girar buscando la luz del Sol (¿acaso no es esto hermoso?). Cuando el Sol comienza a salir, esta flor inicia un movimiento en sentido de las agujas del reloj, el cual se detiene cuando llega la noche.
Esa característica tan increíble de estas flores es la razón del por qué el Girasol es mi flor favorita, pues para mí estas flores representan la búsqueda de la luz en nuestras vidas, representan esa necesidad que tenemos de absorber buenas energías para así encontrar la felicidad en cada instante de nuestra vida.
Sunflowers have a great symbolism because they are synonymous with vitality, energy and joy and even in Chinese culture this flower symbolizes good luck, happiness and health. Also, they have a very particular characteristic: they have the ability to spin around looking for the light of the Sun (isn't this beautiful?). When the Sun begins to rise, this flower starts a clockwise movement, which stops when night comes.
That incredible characteristic of these flowers is the reason why the Sunflower is my favorite flower, because for me these flowers represent the search of light in our lives, they represent that need we have to absorb good energies in order to find happiness in every moment of our life.

Con mi rostro limpio e hidratado comencé aplicando corrector en toda la zona del párpado, luego sellé con polvo. Apliqué primero una sombra color naranja en toda la cuenca del ojo y difuminé bien. Luego, añadí una sombra color amarillo sobre el párpado móvil y con ayuda de la brocha difuminé hasta que ambos colores se integraran.
Apliqué base y polvo compacto en todo mi rostro y, por último, apliqué delineador negro líquido y máscara de pestañas.
With my face clean and moisturized, I started by applying concealer to the entire eyelid area, then sealed with powder. I first applied an orange shadow over the entire eye socket and blended well. Then, I added a yellow shadow on the mobile eyelid and with the help of the brush I blurred until both colors were integrated.
I applied foundation and pressed powder all over my face and finally I applied liquid black eyeliner and mascara.
Ahora vamos con la parte difícil. No sé por qué llegué a pensar que dibujar unos girasoles en mi rostro podía llegar a ser una tarea fácil, es gracioso el hecho de que no me haya servido de nada practicar antes dibujándome las formas en la mano pues al comenzar a realizar los trazos en mi rostro me sentía bastante insegura. Empleé un corrector marrón para realizar el centro del girasol y para realizar las hojas empleé pintura amarilla y un pincel bastante delgado. Di unas pequeñas pinceladas con pintura naranja para darle un poco más de contraste a las hojas. Por un momento llegué a sentirme como un niño pequeño que hace desastres con la pintura, pero al final de cuentas el resultado sí terminó agradándome bastante.
Now for the hard part. I don't know why I thought that drawing some sunflowers on my face could be an easy task, it's funny that it didn't help me to practice before drawing the shapes in my hand because when I started to make the strokes on my face I felt quite insecure. I used a brown corrector to make the center of the sunflower and to make the leaves I used yellow paint and a quite thin brush. I used some small brushstrokes with orange paint to give a little more contrast to the leaves. For a moment I felt like a little boy who makes a mess of the paint, but in the end I liked the result.
RESULTADOS | RESULTS
Debo confesar que el primer girasol me costó dos intentos, a veces es un poco frustrante cuando las cosas no salen de acuerdo a lo planeado…pero creo que la clave está en dejar que todo fluya.
I must confess that the first sunflower cost me two attempts, sometimes it's a bit frustrating when things don't go according to plan...but I think the key is to let everything flow.
No soy para nada hábil en este asunto de dibujar y mucho menos si es en mi rostro, pero hice mi mayor esfuerzo…¿Tú qué opinas, te agradó mi resultado?
