Exploring An Abandoned School (πŸ–• What The Principal Said!)

Before the "demise" of this elementary school, a horror movie was shot here: Killer High. The story goes that a group of adults meet at their old high school for their 10 year reunion. Things quickly take a turn for the worst, however, when a killer mysteriously continues to kill the guests...

The movie, for lack of a better word, is terrible πŸ˜‚ A D-star film with monotonous actors... But since finishing the flick, the filming location--the school--has sat abandoned. It remained standing for a few years afterwards, but has since been demolished..

Of course, we snuck in a few times before that happened! πŸ˜‰ Here are our collection of photos taken of the abandoned school.

Upon walking into the building, this is the first thing we saw: creepy, desolate hallways. There was such little light due to most of the windows being boarded up. Some water damage and graffiti from local kids, but aside from that, the school was still in decent condition.

Further in, we came across a staircase...

(School's out 4eva)

This staircase led us down into the basement, into the boiler room. We were hearing some strange noises as well, mostly creaks and bangs from the wind, but when one is in such a dark environment, the mind cannot help but play tricks! πŸ˜…

On the main floor, the first classroom we came across seemed to be what was left of a science classroom (note the evolution poster? 😏). This was one of the "neater" rooms we stumbled upon..

The same could not be said for the second classroom! Substantially more damage, along with a collapsed ceiling!

Of course, what school could be complete without the office? Every adult's fantasy, isn't it? To be able to go back to your childhood school, say, "Fuck you," to all those mean, pointy-fingered teachers.. Well, that's exactly what happened here! πŸ˜„

There were some wonderful words left by some rascals. I must say, I saw some new ones that weren't in my vocabulary before! πŸ˜‚

The next room we walked into was the gymnasium. It was rather large, with hanging basketball nets and a stage at the very back. There was an advertisement for "free candy," but we decided against going up to check..

(Free candy ⬆️)

There was also a room off to the side, most likely a storage closet for all of the gym equipment. There wasn't much to be found, but again, local kids had left their mark πŸ˜…

Next was the cafeteria. No food fights to be found, but by the looks of it, somebody sure went to town..

After finishing the main floor, we proceeded to the second. There were more classrooms, that were much tidier than the previous floor. However, you seen one classroom, you seen 'em all! πŸ˜„ The only thing that really set the rooms apart was, again, graffiti left by locals.

The pièce de résistance that I will leave you all with: the school's mascot mural. Not entirely sure, but I believe their mascot was of a griffin!

Very moody exterior shot and nice explore, though slopping around in water is little fun. Is this an old explore, I couldn't help but notice the snow outside?

Some rooms were definitely better than others! πŸ˜„

Yes, some of the shots are before and after. The ones of snow and boarded windows, that was the first time exploring a year ago. The ones of daylight were more recent πŸ™‚

That does create a good atmosphere, feel free to post any more UX content in this community, I see little good stuff and it's always the same people.

It's creepy but I am glad it has been demolished.

What an incredible trip you have made throughout that school, tremendous unused space, could you tell me what was the reason for the closure of such a wonderful place.

From what I understand, it was no longer sustainable.. The student scores weren't sufficient to provide enough funding to the school

I understand, thank you very much for this very interesting post.
