從新手到被教練選中示範技巧 From Newcomer to Being Chosen to Demonstrate Techniques

三個月前,我分享了自己如何因為格里菲斯大學乒乓球俱樂部超值的會費而開始每週二晚上去打球的故事。當時只是抱著試試看的心態,沒想到這個決定帶來了意想不到的收穫。

Three months ago, I shared the story of how I started going to play table tennis every Tuesday night at the Griffith University Table Tennis Club because of their incredibly affordable membership fee. At that time, I just wanted to give it a try, and I never expected that this decision would bring me such unexpected rewards.

從那時起,我不僅持續參與俱樂部的活動,也慢慢融入這個大家庭。更讓我感到驚喜的是,教練開始選我幫忙示範新技術,這讓我倍感認同與鼓勵。能被教練看見並重用,是我打球進步的最大動力。

Since then, I have not only continued to participate in club activities but have also slowly become part of this big family. Even more surprisingly, the coach started choosing me to help demonstrate new techniques, which made me feel recognized and encouraged. Being noticed and relied upon by the coach has become my biggest motivation to improve my game.

在以下影片中,教練安排我先用扣殺(smash)來示範擋球(block)的動作,幫助我理解防守時如何穩定回擊。接著,換教練用力扣殺打過來,我則嘗試用擋球穩穩地接住他的攻勢。這種「先攻後守」的練習方式,讓我更清楚擋球時的手感、角度與節奏,是提升防守技巧非常實用的訓練方法。

In the below video, the coach arranged for me to first smash to demonstrate the blocking technique, helping me understand how to stabilize my returns during defense. Then, the coach took turns smashing the ball hard at me, and I tried to block and consistently return his attacks. This practice of "offense first, defense second" helped me better understand the feel, angle, and rhythm of blocking, making it a very practical training method to improve defensive skills.

影片的後半段,是我最難忘的時刻。當教練連續猛扣多球時,我成功地擋住了他所有的扣殺(smashes),穩定地將球回擊。現場在格里菲斯大學桌球俱樂部觀戰的同學們也紛紛為我加油鼓掌,氣氛熱烈而充滿支持。那一刻,我感受到自己努力的成果與團隊的鼓勵,深深激勵我繼續精進球技。

The latter part of the video is the most memorable moment for me. When the coach smashed multiple balls consecutively, I successfully blocked all of his smashes and returned the ball steadily. The students watching at the Griffith University Table Tennis Club cheered and applauded for me, creating a lively and supportive atmosphere. At that moment, I deeply felt the fruits of my hard work and the encouragement from my team, which greatly inspired me to keep improving my skills.

除了打乒乓球外,我的球拍運動也不侷限於乒乓球,現在我每星期都練習匹克球、網球和壁球。這些多元的球類運動讓我在手眼協調和身體敏捷度方面都有全面提升,讓運動變得更加有趣而充實。

Besides playing table tennis, my racket sports are not limited to just that. I now practice pickleball, tennis, and squash every week. These diverse racket sports have comprehensively improved my hand-eye coordination and physical agility, making my exercise routine more interesting and fulfilling.

透過這段時間的努力與堅持,我最深刻的體會是,無論開始時有多麼不確定,只要勇敢跨出第一步,就會遇見新的朋友、獲得技能的成長,還能發現運動帶來的快樂。

Through this period of effort and persistence, my deepest realization is that no matter how uncertain you feel at the beginning, as long as you bravely take the first step, you will meet new friends, gain skill growth, and discover the happiness that sports bring.
