It’s been the first time I’ve visited a Westfield since the restriction ease as I needed to head over to Daiso to get some home stuff and grab a few things from the Asian stores. I had my mask and usual gear ready and headed in, a few familiar shops are already in business. I wasn’t too overly excited to see them open and really there weren’t many people in these stores even though it was opened for business. This makes me think, will our lives ever be normal again and how will we survive when things will somewhat be better in terms of COVID19 infection rates.
澳洲政府開始解封限制之後,我第一次到外面商場走一個圈因為要到日本店 Daiso 買一點家居用品. 我跟平常以往戴口罩出外但看見很多街上的人好像跟以前一樣沒有戴口罩覺得有點擔心. 商場裏有幾間商店有開門但人客不多. 我心裏想往後的日子大家的習慣和生活方式會因為這個疫情而會改變嗎？
I can see stores like Pandora, Cotton On etc are all opened but why would anyone want to visit these stores anymore as you can buy the goods online. I have been shopping online nonstop to avoid crowds and minimise human interactions. I know for one thing, these usual stores with a shop front may lose a lot of my business as COVID19 has changed the way on how I live.
看見 Pandora, Cotton On 等商店漸漸如常運作我心裏想為什麼現在會有客人去店裏買東西不如在家裏網購比較方便. 如果不在門市買東西在網上購物可以減少同人的交流，減少感染的機會所以未來我會預計很多商店都會漸漸關閉門市的部分運作.
Over the weekend, there were crowded everywhere at some shopping centers which I am sure people are glad to be outside but are it really needed? The photos I posted a few days ago clearly shows people aren’t practicing social distancing or even have a mask on. Would I be willing to take that risk? Probably no. Will you be taking that risk?
大家還記得上個週末我分享過一張在商場裏的照片嗎？相片中人流同聖誕節的時候差不多，好多人沒有戴口罩或有沒有堅守1.5米的距離. 看見這樣的情況我不會冒險去外面逛街，你會冒這個險嗎?

To shop in Pandora? Are you crazy? Of course I would risk it. I would risk it all. Give me the sniffles give me the jiffles I don't care you can't me away from Pandora. What should I be afraid of? Old ladies buying creepy Jewellery? Cough all over me ladies. While all the weak people are cowering in front of their computer screens ill be roller blading down Westfield shopping malls picking up sugar mommas at Pandora. You wait and see.
Interesting thoughts but each to their own I'm sure things will slowly get back to normal.
There is no going back to normal for many of us, at least not in the way like how we want it to be.
In VN, things are back to normal, perhaps too normal which is very worrying for me.
i read on the news that Vietnam has very low cases and death rates so you guys must be doing something right over there. Whereas where your hubby and kids are seems to be at a worse position :(
Yes, VN is indeed far safer esp when all international entry is banned since 17 Mar and those who come in through the repatriation flights are all quarantine first. Even now, the Govt is still practicing some form of social distancing within the country.
Yeah.. hubby and kids is still very much lock down but at least much better than a month back.
If I need something and I don't have it at home then I'll go outside for just short time. Not for hangout definitely. Or just to take short break from my WFH, then I'll drive somewhere for 15-20 minutes without stopping anywhere, then get back home.
