Life is changing drastically, the world is totally different from how it used to be 20 years ago, that time children do not think of phones, they prefer outdoor games and even adult are not addicted to phones since mostly what they do with it is make calls until social media came into existence...

Social media is one of the reason for the big changes in the world, i know advance tech like phones were also invented but still social media is the reason why many people are so addicted to their phones, most people do not even want to connect offline anymore since they can easily make thousands of friends online by just using their hand to press their phones...?
Higher percentage of people in the world are addicted to their phones, i am among those who are addicted to their phone and pc, i would rather spend all day on those stuffs than play with offline friends, and most times i don't even notice people around me like family because i am so engrossed with what i am doing online especially since it is also where i earn my income...
Many other people are like me and can't do without their gadget which makes most people result to online world to communicate and with each passing year, something new is being invented which prompt the answer to the hive-naija question of how the world would be in 100 years time...
First of all i don't think i would still be on earth in 100 years time, probably the reign of my third generation and i believe more advanced tech would have been invented and the first thing my mind think of is a flying and floating car...
You can imagine having a car that you can drive on the road, fly in the air and also ride inside water, a car equiped with all this would make life easier for the people and i see that coming in the future...
Aside the advanced tech, i see a big problem due to over population, we all see what they did to get rid of people, pandemic happened and millions of life were lost and no one knows what they are going to do again to reduce the population of life's on earth...
All the same, i believe the world will be more beautiful in 100 years time, the human race keeps evolving and lot of wonderful things will be built but the online world will reign more as usual....

I think the world will advance to AI glasses that will guide your journey and recognize people you know, so you don't have to try and remember their names. It will show up on your lenses. They will have GPS guidance and the ability to read documents and books and watch videos.
But that is just my thought,
I think a larger number of jobs will exist in the metaverse. Tech support desk and other items like CPA's will be all online. Teaching will be all online.

As we look to the future and the possible changes to come, we have a tendency to look at the past and see what changes we have experienced in our lifetime. This reminiscing is a great thing to capture for future generations. I now I enjoy reading about or listening to my parents and grandparents stories as new technologies (like phones, TVs and various types of transportation) were introduced into their lives. I would encourage you start building a repository of your own experiences of things as they change within your own lifetime that you (or your descendants) can share with others in the future.

you are absolutely right saying that phone addiction is rife at the moment, but connecting with people online isn't really "making friends". 99% of those with a large number of followers probably haven't engaged with more than a handful (and most of that handful they probably knew before online addiction was even a thing). That isnt to say i'm anti-tech and continued development and improvement in what tech can do, after all I'm on Hive, on the blockchain even as I write this reply.
As for 100 years time, I doubt I'll still be here either, but the possibilities are as they say endless - just needs someone cleverer than me to think of an idea, and bring to to fruititon, and we have the next Elon Musk, perhaps.

Social interactions will be much worse in the future coz people will be more occupied with the tech we have. By the time virtual and augmented reality technologies become widespread, a lot of people will spend more time in the virtual world than the real world. Things will definitely get much worse than they already are
Uhm! So you've envision a car that can both fly, swim, and drive on the road. It's possible with the technological advancement on the rapid but I think the world will only get worse with the things the world is introducing
The world is certainly chaotic right now and it is probably going to be a while before it straightens out.
