This is 180 Naira, all the way from 70/80 Naira early this year; and the prices are still climbing). Just these two items. You wouldn't be wrong be if you thought it was 200 or 210 Naira or more; this was the cheapest price we could find.
I wonder how long this will continue.
I am no economist, but here I am researching inflation because it is no longer a fancy academic-business word but a reality now for me and the rest of us Nigerian masses. Purchasing power is decreasing by the day.
I really don’t like dwelling on negativity, but dear Government, is the Naira not still losing value this way (reducing purchasing power) despite your plans to curb this through import restriction?

“Inflation will remain elevated for quite some time because of the combination of the border closure, the CBN’s aggressive management of the foreign exchange regime, and insecurity that is in part driven by climate change will combine to keep prices higher,” ~Ikemesit Effiong, Head of Research at SBM Intelligence;

Inflation Oh Inflation…

All these plus the Corona battered economy… 😩

Fasting will increase now. I’m kuku watching my tummy… 😔
