Well, there are countries that aren't migrated to and they are still doing fine enough, here in Nigeria, we don't have much migration going on and we still have diversity in our culture.
The fact is, yes first world countries do a lot in Africa and yes, there are good people in Africa wanting to migrate but bad always overshadows the good and we are already in a disadvantaged position as Africans.
I understand why people would want to migrate, I was in that place a while ago so I'll always support it.
I (we) cannot control the narrative unfortunate but I certainly do not owe anyone any explanation, esp those who are not even actively contributing anything meaningful to their society about the merits of my involvement in their society. If I do find my way into a country legally and I am contributing positively to its growth and sustenance on a micro-scale, I think that is good enough. If people see Africans as a problem then that is on them really. I am not even trying to convince anyone otherwise.
certainly. if it takes going to a first-world country to better your life legally then take it by all means. borders are manmade, same with the construct of a state and patriotism. I do not believe in an unquestioned loyalty to a place, idea or people. If it is not a mutually beneficial relationship, any party involved has the right to opt-out at any given time.
Well, it isn't going to only be about you migrating legally but it Is also about the harm you could face, the crazy things that happen to immigrants are appalling.
If anyone feels like they aren't okay with where they are, then they should change it if possible, life shouldn't be that hard even though we make it.
True that. Which is makes it important to know where you are migrating to. Certain countries are a no-no to me.
Spot on!
A lot of countries are a no-no to me hence my sudden calmness for migration.
This is one of the reasons I'm not so excited about migrating to another country. Yeah, it does hold some opportunities but are the challenges worth it.
Some of these country's challenges aren't worth it at all.
Migrating takes a whole lot of calculations.
Exactly, you have to consider the possible risk you'd face and all of the things you'll be leaving behind. The funniest part is you may not get a lot of say where you're going.
