I wrote this song with my best friend Dustin Taylor when we were 15 years old. I was definitely trying to make a statement. I’ll let the song speak for itself. I hope you enjoy it.

Lyrics

Vrs 1

I knew a girl from small Missouri Town
Well, she was young and no one knew her secret
Her older brother's used to play a game with her
She didn't want to play the game, but they made her play

Chorus

They scared her to death
And they told her it wasn't wrong
They made her do
Nothing a little girl should have to do
And told her she would go to hell if she told anyone
And she didn't know no better because she was way too young

Vrs 2

Well the years went by and she started to figure out that the game made her cry and there was something wrong about it.

Vrs 3

Well the girl from the small Missouri Town
She told her mom about all the fooling around
The sad enough her daddy didn't believe a thing she said
She tried to make him believe but he just turned his head, and she said

Chorus

They scared me to death
And they told me it wasn't wrong
They made me do nothing a little girl should have to do
And said I would go to hell if I told anyone
And I didn't know no better because I was way too young
Way too young...

Gracias.

De nada, I have just signed up with Threespeak, and I saw your video there, then came here to find it.
Tragic theme, but not that uncommon unfortunately.
I'll get back to participating in the contests now that I have my own place.
And my own studio room

Yes. Sad. But common. New studio? Congrats.

The property I bought in Dec 2020, which is my new home, has 4 outbuildings, one of them in the back was constructed by a previous owner as a dedicated BAND ROOM, just one room, rectangular, 23 ft by 26 ft, outlets all around and heavily insulated.
It has a serious moisture problem which I have begun to address

↑This was the condition (just one image) when I found it. Storage and a big mess↑

↑These show my progress, although it is now stalled somewhat↑

Wow. Very cool. I have constant issues trying to find a creative space. Looks like you are well on your way.

In actuality, so far, the fact that there are no windows, and I don't have a lot of light in there, when I HAVE go out there to try to play some, I just don't feel motivated.
My music "career" since I moved up here to Atlanta, and began performing again in 2010, my "Niche" market has been performing for Nursing Homes, Assisted Living/Memory care and Retirement communities.
Covid put an end to all that for the last year, and now that it is beginning to open back up, it is only if you
A. wear a mask while you perform, or
B. are fully vaccinated.
I had it last Summer, since then I've been tested THREE TIMES for the antibodies. I have them.
So I will not be getting vaccinated. (I've seen the main Dr's on TV explaining why people are having adverse reactions to it, they say it is because THEY ALREADY HAD THEIR OWN ANTIBODIES.
So if I have my own, that have successfully protected me for EIGHT MONTHS (so far) why should I subject myself to getting sick with adverse reactions?

Great song, and you sure have some chops. Loved this.

Thanks for your kind words.
