De nada, I have just signed up with Threespeak, and I saw your video there, then came here to find it.
Tragic theme, but not that uncommon unfortunately.
I'll get back to participating in the contests now that I have my own place.
And my own studio room
The property I bought in Dec 2020, which is my new home, has 4 outbuildings, one of them in the back was constructed by a previous owner as a dedicated BAND ROOM, just one room, rectangular, 23 ft by 26 ft, outlets all around and heavily insulated.
It has a serious moisture problem which I have begun to address
↑This was the condition (just one image) when I found it. Storage and a big mess↑
↑These show my progress, although it is now stalled somewhat↑
In actuality, so far, the fact that there are no windows, and I don't have a lot of light in there, when I HAVE go out there to try to play some, I just don't feel motivated.
My music "career" since I moved up here to Atlanta, and began performing again in 2010, my "Niche" market has been performing for Nursing Homes, Assisted Living/Memory care and Retirement communities.
Covid put an end to all that for the last year, and now that it is beginning to open back up, it is only if you
A. wear a mask while you perform, or
B. are fully vaccinated.
I had it last Summer, since then I've been tested THREE TIMES for the antibodies. I have them.
So I will not be getting vaccinated. (I've seen the main Dr's on TV explaining why people are having adverse reactions to it, they say it is because THEY ALREADY HAD THEIR OWN ANTIBODIES.
So if I have my own, that have successfully protected me for EIGHT MONTHS (so far) why should I subject myself to getting sick with adverse reactions?
Correctamundo. Not compromising on your health choices for a gig helps us all. Do we really want all these blockades everywhere? I hear you on the light thing. My playing space is down in my basement. Hard to feel inspired down there. I like the living room a lot better but it’s a shared space. I need to make a friend with someone with a studio. Lol.
Gracias.

Yes. Sad. But common. New studio? Congrats.

Wow. Very cool. I have constant issues trying to find a creative space. Looks like you are well on your way.
