Hive Open Mic Week 81: Kopi Dangdut cover by @donirosayandi & @Dhea

Hello my friends from Hive, my name is @donirosayandi, I am a beginner guitarist, I'm very happy to be able to participate again in this event. This time I collaborated again with my partner, her name is Dhea, she has a soft and beautiful voice.

On this occasion I covered a song from Indonesia entitled " Kopi Dangdut“. This song was popularized by Fahmi Shahab who is singer from Indonesia.
This song tells about the feeling of

Happiness that is felt by someone who is in love, wrapped in an atmosphere of joyful dangdut music (Indonesian music) which increasingly explores the ears of the listeners of this song feeling Happy.

Lyric :
Kala ku pandang kerlip bintang nun jauh di sana
Sayup kudengar melodi cinta yang menggema
Terasa kembali gelora jiwa mudaku
Karena tersentuh alunan lagu semerdu kopi dangdut

Api asmara yang dahulu pernah membara
Semakin hangat bagai ciuman yang pertama
Detak jantungku seakan ikut irama
Karena terlena oleh pesona alunan kopi dangdut

Irama kopi dangdut yang ceria
Menyengat hati menjadi gairah
Membuat aku lupa akan cintaku yang telah lalu

Api asmara yang dahulu pernah membara
Semakin hangat bagai ciuman yang pertama
Detak jantungku seakan ikut irama
Karena terlena oleh pesona alunan kopi dangdut

Bravo friends are an excellent combination. We also know this melody here in Latin America, it is the song Moliendo Café and there has always been a dispute about who composed it between the Venezuelans José Manzo and Hugo Blanco since the 50's ... I am very surprised to hear it in your language and how Venezuelan I'm glad to see that many of our best songs have crossed the barrier of borders and languages. Thank you very much for sharing this information. I just saw the original version of Fahmi Shahab from 2001. I couldn't stay with this intrigue hahaha...

If you like, you can visit this humble version that I made with my parents a few months ago:

Songwriter and singer Fahmi Shahab revealed that the song Kopi Dangdut was first released not in Indonesia but in Japan in 1991 ago.

Then, in accordance with the commitment and cooperation, then the song created by Fahmi was released in Indonesia.
However, Fahmi does not deny that the song Kopi Dangdut is a plagiarized song from "Moliendo Cafe" from Venezuela. Which Dangdut Coffee took the license of the song.
Legally, the song is not disputed because it has gone through various licensing processes.
I hope this will shed light on this problem @jesuslnrs

Great, thanks for providing more information. And well, when I mention the dispute over the authorship of the melody, I mean the original gentlemen who made it known in the 1950s. They were the ones who spent their entire lives on it, and I understand it because the song it has been very successful and covered. But hey, it makes me happy to hear these covers in other languages. Maybe it even has a different meaning, but I heard it and thought about my land in the same way. They have made it beautiful, @dhea voice has nothing to criticize, it is perfect. Thanks for this answer friend...

It's true what you said @jesuslnrs , Moliendo Cafe and Kopi Dangdut have different meanings, Kopi Dangdut tells about the feeling of happiness felt by someone falling in love, while Moliendo Café' actually tells the opposite feeling.
Thank you for your flattery, good luck to you @jesuslnrs
