Greetings to the entire #hiveopenmic community. I hope you had a nice week. The music we make is a very important means of communication for everyone in the community, putting aside the differences in our cultures and embracing all of us and drawing them into their own world. Singing songs or just playing a musical instrument with love relaxes us and helps us to express our feelings. It even takes us on a beautiful musical journey filled with music and notes in our minds. It allows us to get away from other things that are going on in our minds.

This week, I wanted to prepare the song "I was like an eagle in the sky" for you. The lyrics of this song were written by one of the famous names of Turkish literature, writer and poet Sabahattin Ali. Sabahattin Ali, who got into trouble and was frequently arrested because of the political criticisms he wrote in various print media, wanted to leave the country because he did not want to go back to prison. He was killed by the person who guided him during this escape, again for political reasons.
Ben bu hafta sizler için “Göklerde Kartal Gibiydim” şarkısını hazırlamak istedim. Bu şarkının sözleri Türk edebiyatının ünlü isimlerinden yazar ve şair Sabahattin Ali tarafından kaleme alınmış. Çeşitli basılı yayın mecralarında kaleme aldığı siyasi eleştiriler yüzünden başı belaya giren ve sık sık tutuklanan Sabahattin Ali, hapishaneye tekrar girmek istemediği için ülkeden ayrılmak istemiştir. Music is a great channel to express ourselves and feel peace, since we manage to unite in an impressive way, regardless of the language barrier. In addition to the fact that the music we bring is an immediate projection of what our mind possesses at an unconscious level, in a nutshell, every time we perform we create an incredible catharsis.
I congratulate you for your interpretation, it was very cool, the story of the creator of the lyrics was very interesting, I think that in the history of many countries something like this has happened, always for political purposes...
You sang very well and I liked the performance in the baglama 👍😉, the chords of this melody are fascinating and mystical, and not to mention the lyrics, its content speaks for itself about the history of its author!!!

Sometimes I have a hard time finding music related to the theme that suits my musical style. Sometimes I have to try other types of music, sometimes I fail. But I try to attend this event as much as possible every week.
