Asam kareng is traditional cuisine in Aceh. It's natural ingridients makes this cuisine loveable indeed by Acehnese.
The song of Asam Kareng that I cover on this video is originally belong to a local indie band in Aceh, Jeulatang. This band is part of Komunitas KANOT BU where I also one of member or we call it, Jamaa'ah of this art community.
Asam Kareng is also the first Acehnese Folksong which used English as the lyrics. Actually this song combines both Acehnese and English as the lyrics.
