If I had one of those mining machines in my room and started mining, would it be easy to learn? I imagine I'd need a license and a wallet, and everything would fall into place? And could I mine daily?

The miners are usually quite simple to run. It's usually an initial setup, and then you forget they exist. As long as they have power (and those on the pictures are very low power, aka won't give you much bitcoin).

They can cost quite a bit... but usually rule of thumb, a big miner (2-5 kW of power) will payoff within 1 or 2 years (not counting electricity). And these low-powered ones will take years.

But it's like anything, if you are up just for the experience and fun, then ignore what I said and just try to get one and go through the experience.

Make sure you buy one from a reputable company, cause there are impostors out there (still) selling stuff that has malware.

Mining was fun in the old days... now it's more like a souvenir thing (for me)...

You can also try the experience digitally... which is totally different, but gets you some picture of how it works.
