I was an addict of the credit card debt at one time. To get a bank credit card you needed to have some debt somewhere, thus the department credit card at high interest rate for 6 months. You finally begin to build a credit score, but you had to go into revolving debt to do it. Six months later the bank gives you the bank issued credit card at a semi decent rate.

To late you now want to build your credit score and two credit cards don't help, so you get a couple more department store cards, make small purchases and off to the cleaners the banks go, interest and more interest they collect from you. before you know it you have a visa card, a discovery card, a sears card, a radio shack card, a pennys card, and you got that ever coveted bank line of credit; a signature loan. You hit the biggest milestone of all, a bank line of credit.

Ten years to build the history, and ten plus years to tear down the credit fiasco, you finally pare it down to one credit card, one bank card and the credit line stays available for emergency use, but at a zero balance.

It would be nice to be able to not have a credit card, unfortunately society and businesses really have a penchant for giving their money to banks. I remember seeing stores when I was growing up with signs "no checks or credit cards" now it is signs with "No Cash, credit cards only".

I don't think they do the credit score here, at least not like in the US. I find it crazy that encouraging debt in the way they do is legal.

The incentives in this world are all aligned to make a few people very rich and many people suffer. The many question why they can't make their lives better, yet keep doing exactly what the few have conditioned them to do.

Debt makes the world go round - as it keeps the debt slaves working.

It would be nice to see crypto, or something replace the debt drive, but it is doubtful if anything will. Banks or Exchanges, someone is going to charge fee's/tax/gas fees.
