I totally agree with that quote. Although when you're thinking about that not so distant past, one can't agree with it short term. lol.
She was becoming more and more sick over the last year or so. We were grinding up her food real fine and even hand feeding her. In the last months of life we had to blend her food into a liquid and feed it to her that way. She eventually stopped eating and then drinking.
We spent one last beautiful, heart wrenching day with her doing some of her favorite things. As the day grew longer, and the inevitable approached, our hearts were in ruins. I did my best trying to hold it all together. I don't know how we made it through, but we did. Miss that little girl so damn much.
