As usual, it's just after 3 AM here as I'm typing this. Finishing my second cup of coffee. Currently contemplating all that has been completed during my garage cleanup project. And all that still needs to be completed. Which is not much more.
It has been a few steps at a time. Can only fit so much in my trash bin at a time. Trash pick up is only once per week. Given away and sold what I wanted as well to this point. Today I'll try to make another big push. It may not be the final one, but it will be one of the last before it's complete. Somewhat proud of myself.
It has been a task in this hot weather. Garage is like a furnace. Have to take lots of cooling breaks when I work out there. I usually work for about 10 minutes, get all out of breath, then come inside to rest. Rinse and repeat. It's not fast. But it's getting done.
Shed is next on the agenda. Has to be. Got some stuff in the garage that needs to go in the shed. Stuff in the shed that needs to go in the garage. Some stuff just needs trashed.
New ham radio antenna is on hold. Youngest son who is going to help me has been out of town for work a lot. Soon as he has a breather, we'll get it up. No hurry yet. Gonna do it right.
Have my first local ham club meeting this coming Thursday. Will be interesting to see how that goes and who all I meet.
Still need to get my ass down to the basement office and get some sealant around the PVC pass through for the cabling. Been putting that off. It's one of those things where I need another set of eyes on the other end of the PVC while I handle it. Make sure I don't move it too much while maneuvering.
Not much more to update about. Just been plucking along. Getting things done. Living life. One step at a time. One trash bin at a time. One 10 minute work session at a time. That's how it gets done.
Any projects you been up to?

Thanks for reading,
Joe

You know what? They say that if you organise and tidy up your life on the outside, you do the same on the inside, because what’s on the outside reflects what’s on the inside. So you’ve done a brilliant job, and I’m not just talking about the garage and everything else you’ve got planned. Sometimes we need that sort of order in various aspects of our lives. You’ve taken it step by step, partly because of the heat, but also because it needs to be done slowly. Now, I’m sure, new and much better things are on the way. A big hug!!🤗
I have picked this post on behalf of the @OurPick project! Check out our Reading Suggestions posts!
Please consider voting for our Liotes HIVE Witness. Thank you!
Yeah, been doing the inside stuff step by step as well. Little at a time. Thanks for the encouragement. YOu are wonderful.

Always onwards!!🤗
Hi @coinjoe
That basically sums it up, one trash bin at a time. I seems we spend a lifetime accumulating stuff and half a lifetime getting rid of it :))
This is good. You'll probably meet people who can give you a hand with your project at home. It's great to be around people who share your interests. I'm not much of a social person, but when I'm around people who share my passions (writing, books, for example) then I open up.
Take it easy in the garage. Heat can be dangerous.
That is for sure.
My wife and I got a half cubic yard of top soil the other day and we spread it out on our front lawn where we had the rocks removed. We also "cleaned" the garage a little. I threw a couple things away. That was really all I did! :)
That is enough. It would have wore me out doing that much. :)
It’s satisfying when you finally get around to organizing things you’ve been putting off for a long time, right? As time goes by, we end up accumulating things we don’t really need, but oh well that’s life, hehe. Congratulations on your progress.
My projects these days don’t involve tidying anything up. I’ll leave that for when I get back home in a few weeks. For now, I’m trying to finish a crochet bag I started knitting weeks ago and had been putting off, but I’ve made some progress over the last two days. I’ll show it here on Hive soon.
Have a great evening!
It is satisfying. Making one big push this week to finish off the garage. hopefully.
Hope to see that bad soon!
At least you get rubbish pick up once a week. We have ours split so general waste is only once a fortnight! I have moved so busy unpacking and sorting things. Little by little Joe is the way to do it!
Yes sir. Waiting on the lil lady to get home so I can start working on it.
Tidy garage, tidy mind!
I feel Jamie is always tidying up the garage, haha!
He has a reason to be, he actually uses his and works in it. I haven't been.
Congrats! Not on working at 3am, but on getting things done. I've been doing the same and trust me, it feels good to have a clean environment and order around you.
It does feel good. Not as fast as I would like to see it done. But it is getting done none the less.
good luck with your garage cleanup project. I really need to clean the mold in the kitchen. But the cleaning remedy is very stinky so I keep delaying that. Other than I don't have any new projects. Still making art. Still gathering Hive when I have some spare money.
Thanks. Yeah, think I'd deal with the stink. Mold is no good for the health.
