There was an old lady named Mrs. Thompson who lived in an old age home. She was a kind and gentle soul, but she often felt lonely and neglected, as her children rarely visited her. They were busy with their own lives and had little time for their mother.
One day, Mrs. Thompson decided that she would not let her loneliness get the best of her. She made a conscious effort to be more outgoing and sociable, and soon she made some new friends at the old age home. There was Mrs. Patel, who loved to knit and was always working on a new project. Very true of life, many sit alone yet could be opening up to new experiences and friends. Children often live in far off places unable to visit with mounting pressures in life.

what a lovely and touching story. My mom is a nurse who specializes is the care of the frail and elderly. We don't always understand family dynamics or drama, but no one should ever be forgotten or left alone in old age. It's a tough subject that many people don't want to talk about because we're all afraid and ashamed.
We never stop making new friends and have great new experiences. Life keeps evolving.
