The Silverbloggers Chronicles Prompt #16 - Things I No Longer Worry About

The Idea of the Chronicles

...kinda started when our community advisor SilverScribe came up with the Memoir Mondays. A new topic/question every Monday for a whole year, and we all loved it so much that we've fallen into a kind of writer's block since the "end" of it. Not really, but still...

So what could be more obvious than to continue somehow? Something has to be done to tackle writer's block, or even the ‘all-time low’ at Hive...

The Silverators started brainstorming the hows and the whens to get an idea of what we could all share for the best of our community. To have a sort of "running gag" that never gets old.

In the synonyms for the word memoir, we can find - chronicle. Now, that was it.... our own chronicles! The Silverbloggers Chronicles! The place where we all keep our memories to share with the future. The library of a silly, wild bunch of Silvers. The Silvery Book of the Wise! Hehehe

On Winning the Prize ?!

We are all winners in this by supporting each other in the community, be it with an upvote, a tip, and/or a kind comment...

Since we "all" know that many are just chasing big votes, with not doing much at all, running behind the whales to get them to pay attention, craving for a vote of lots of dollar$. Or the ones being "good (?) followers" and trying to benefit from the Vitamin Relation until there's a Lambo in sight...!

We feel this is the wrong way. A community should be there for each other, even if many humans are conditioned differently. It's more about putting the ego-selfish-ego aside, because life is not about money, it's about joy/happiness. That everyone gets support for their best they give to the community.

You may say it's good to have dreams? Yes, we live these dreams to achieve the best for everyone. Remember - joy/happiness?!

Why are we even writing about this while promoting the Chronicles for our community? It's to make us all realise that many members don't get high-profile support, but we can "help" ourselves. Also, to understand that the idea of a memoir library for future generations is probably not the way to get rich, to finally get that Lambo. It's about sharing viewpoints, knowledge, and the occasional good laugh. It's about individuals, nature, and happiness. And be sure, we continue to curate the pearls in our midst!

The SB-Chronicle Prompt #16

With #sb-chronicles... we are posting a question on Mondays, prompting anyone who wants to join in to write their own "Silverblogger" Chronicle for future generations to read! If you feel like suggesting a next prompt yourself... please feel welcome to contact one of the "Silverators" !

> Things I no longer worry about

In our teens, there is a lot of peer pressure, such as wearing the right gear, looking 'cool'. As we get older, we, in a way, try to keep up with the Joneses. I have learned to be myself, am happy in my own skin, and I no longer worry about what people think. I can be myself and not have to conform to what society expects. I no longer suffer from FOMO there are always opportunities waiting around the corner.
The silver years have taught me that worrying gets me nowhere; if you cannot do anything about it, nothing's going to change it!

So, what are some of the things you worried about, and how did you learn to throw them aside?

Your ‘tips’ and ‘delegations’ help to support the community! Thank you !
The “true” way of a community is to support each other, also on Hive. Since it doesn't make sense to wait for the mercy of a millionaire to send us $$$ - we support each other with the best we can.

Tipping or delegating is a way to show that you appreciate the work
. It works even after a contribution has gone through the seven days of voting, and thus the opportunity for gracious "giving" is over. Another plus - that way no one can ‘steal’ your given support, not even the often ego-selfish, pointless Down-Voters. We thank you for all the support you give, anywhere!

Hello, dear Silver Bloggers

Yes, this is a topic that is becoming more relevant in my life, and it helps me understand my late father's behavior.

I think these posts will provide much to discuss.

Have a wonderful week, full of blessings, health, and good things.

Thank you @janaveda, we're looking forward to the responses!

That Lambo bit made me grin, I also stopped chasing big votes and just enjoy writing, becuase the steady joy lasts longer than a pop of numbers. Your push to make a Chronicle that lives on feels like good accounting for memories, small entries adding up over time :) And I love the bit about dropping FOMO and doing what you can, if you cannot change it, hte worry is just noise. More of this kind spirit will grow a community, not running after some ADmin or whale applause.
