Welcome the rain

The rainy season started in my country, Venezuela. And I don't know about you, but rain provokes a lot of nostalgia in me and a lot of laziness. When it rains, I like to stay at home, drink hot chocolate or coffee, with sweet cookies and stand at the window to see how the rain cleans the city and leaves a fresh air in the air.

When I was a child, I remember my parents forbid me to get wet in the rain. They argued that I might catch a cold, pneumonia or pneumonia. Also, they forced me to wrap up warm and wear socks to sleep, and not to walk barefoot on cold floors.

When it rained, my parents would close the door and I would look out the window to see the other children my age, barefoot, running along the asphalt in the middle of the downpour. I was so envious of those children that, without my parents noticing, I would stick my hand out of the window to see if some drops splashed on my skin so I could feel the joy those children felt.

That's why, when I became young, I tried to experience the thrill of dancing, running, hugging, kiss, under the rain. Feeling my clothes soaked, jumping over puddles and puddled water, leaving my hair wet on my face. Then, more than feeling fear of a disease, I felt sea, sand, tree, overflowing river: I experienced full freedom.

Of course, with adulthood, rain began to take on other not so romantic meanings: rain was the cause of natural disasters, it was the cause of electrical power fluctuations and even the cause of human tragedies.

But beyond that, I still maintain the idea of getting wet without guilt. I am not one of those who are afraid of getting wet in the rain: there is something rebellious, free, in walking in the downpour, in not running away from the rain. I don't know what you think, but it feels as if the universe baptizes you or as if you can turn down the volume of life, put a melody that softens your soul.

Are those your boats, are you going to take me fishing? Rain is great in tropical countries... in cold countries not so much jeje
A rainy hug dancing in the streets Nancy

Rain can also be a disaster in Cumana: even public transportation may stop running. Let me buy my boat, I'll invite you for a ride to the nearby islands. A rainy hug for you 🫂

Oh I shall be waiting for that ride Nancy! A boaty hug today 🫂

Once in a while it's refreshing to play and get wet by the rain.😁. feel the freedom and joy that flows with it.

Exactly. The rain resets your soul. Greetings, friend

I feel like a part of our childhood has been taken away from us, and it's time to reclaim it... that's why I bathe in the downpours, and if a cold wants to appear, I order it to disappear. I am the owner of my reality, so whatever I command is law.

Decreed! hahaha. That's right. Raising children in “bubbles”, away from water, away from land, does nothing for their immune system or emotional health. Let's rescue the joy of being children and do what we could not. I send you a big hug, my friend.

Many a times I too experienced nostalgia in the presence of rain. Right now we too are enjoying rain but with it cones disasters and damages to public and private property, free of cost.

Yes, it is true. But the rain is not the culprit, the culprit is the man who builds houses near riverbeds, seas. Sometimes many of the tragedies occur because of our lack of self-awareness. Greetings
