First up I will show you the iconic Table Mountain on our way to the airport.
I took the first two photos on our drive, as we had to drop a neighbor at the airport for his flight to Nigeria.
He is a roads construction specialist and the country head-hunted him in South Africa to help with some new roads that they are building.
Sadly many of our top quality engineers have emigrated and subsequently our country is suffering from the after effects of losing so many specialists.
But that is an entirely different story and today I just want to show you some sights on our trip.

Here is my line break, as now below I will show you three photos of a golf course on our way back from the airport.
And finally, just a lovely photo of the farm where the water statue photo was taken. We stopped here for coffee.
The airport is about an hour away from our home, depending on the traffic but thankfully we had an uninterrupted trip.
At times, there might be accidents on the road to the airport and then one can sit in a traffic queue for hours. Luckily not this time.
There are so many lovely sights that some day I will travel very slowly and take photos to show you the many different beautiful sights along the way.

Nigeria is so fond of getting international experts whenever there is a construction work to be done especially road construction. The country is also in disarray with a lot of cases of insecurity. I hope your friend's work will be in a part of the country with decent security.

A wise way to use the best as we see so many fails on the African continent. Our country is also overloaded with insecurity and severe stresses lately, but life goes on.
My friend has a police escort every day to work and back and yes he has arrived safely.

Thank you Hannes and a pity that could not take a a slower drive to take more photos, but we had to get home before the power cut. As you know we are also packing boxes for the move and it was a crazy day.
Tomorrow will not be much better, but you know what I will say here 😉
The neighbor came home for a 3 week holiday, as he has been up there for 3 months already. He has a police escort to work and back every day and at times the army also joins the escort in dangerous areas.
He earns double the amount that he gets here and he has worked in many countries. His wife stays behind here and we often help her with lifts to wherever she needs to go.

I'm at the end of a 24-hour shift and didn't find any time to reply.
You've got a lot to do in order to move - I have also moved quite a few times, but I have always had an apartment and didn't have a to move complete house.
Sounds as if your neighbour is safe - I would love to be escorted by the police to work 😁 !LOLZ

Good afternoon Hannes,
You have 24 hour shifts and we have power cuts. I don't know which is worse and I can also only work in gaps. The next power cut arrives from 6pm to 8:30pm.
Not so much to do, as we have a lot of moving experience and this will be our 10th move.
So we only pack up every room, get a truck and we go. This time we have a lot of pots with succulents in and they will have to be moved separately.

Hahaha, rest assured that it ill not be our last move my friend. I have my eye on a farm that is surrounded by mountains and I hard that there is 3 big dams on farm. So maybe we can get a cottage there 🤞

I have just come home from a short hike around a little lake. I haven't been there in a while and I have had the whole lake for me alone 😀
There are many reasons like sometimes the phone rings, other colleagues need something, it's noisy or I just can't sleep - then it's hard earned money 😁 !LOLZ
