Love your Feathered Friends contest theme for this round @nelinoeva, as capturing the odd unusual shot of a bird is such a surprising thrill and a giggle when you actually score. Rarity is the word that comes to my mind.
My entry photo surprised me when I first saw it even though truth be told I was chasing this one seagull to get it moving. My scaring tactics worked as it kept flying up and away for a short distance only to come down again. I am sure this frightened seagull considered me one crazy human stalker that afternoon given the harried screeching look on his face. I must admit I have not captured an action open beak photo before.
Just to finish off here is are two photos of this seagull trying the flying up and down tactic to rid itself of me.

Hi @nelinoeva, I find seagulls very interesting too and they actually make good photo models. And since I have a beach so close by I see them almost daily. 💛
I live not far from the beach too, but the gulls are going further inland and now they are not just beach birds. Our residential are has abundance of seagulls who feel very comfortable among the concrete blocks. 🙂
Oh my gosh, how interesting, seagulls not at the beach. I daresay they are going where there is abundance of chips! Seagulls are greedy food grabbers.🤩

Honestly I stopped drinking for quite some time, but I began to enjoy a nice cup of tea after dinner. But I think I can afford a sip, especially in you company. 🥂
A chat with a friend is a good reason to enjoy a glass of good riesling. And I know what you mean about enjoying a cup of tea instead of wine as I do the same thing.
Gone are my enjoying a few glasses of wine and laughing with my sisters. Now I am a one glass girl! 🤩
