Feeding The Hungry (Pigeons)

One of the most affected creatures of this quarantine, at least in my city, are the pigeons. Before the restricted movement brought about by the quarantine so many passers-by would feed them with biscuits or bread crumbs or any food they can nibble on. But with the closure of all restaurants and fast food joints (only take out orders allowed) and the very limited number of pedestrians these pigeons have lost their main source of food. On this day, while parked outside the supermarket, I chanced upon this woman who threw a few biscuits to some pigeons and, suddenly, out of nowhere, a swarm all swooped down and hungrily helped themselves with the treat.

She had a pack of biscuits in her hand when she started.

But in no time, it was all gone and she had to go back inside her car to get another one, and another one, and yet another one as the number of pigeons continued to grow.

I took a video as well and am attaching it here.

Bless the kind hearted soul. She just made so many pigeons happy.

All for now. Until next post. Hope you enjoyed this one.

Oh my goodness! That is a lot of pigeons! How kind of her to feed them. I had not really thought about how much they must be missing people! Thanks for posting this to #featheredfriends. !tip

They actually did. However, quarantine restrictions have been relaxed and foot traffic has now increased. Restaurants can now serve dine-in upto 50% of capacity. So I think the pigeons are becoming happier and fuller. My pleasure @melinda010100 to be able to post in your awesome community.

What a commotion, free millet for everyone.

They were really hungry. Some were not waiting for the biscuits to drop on the ground. They were literally swiping them from the lady's hand. Thanks for visiting.
