Oh yeah, the monkey problem that I remeber so well. We have baboons here in the mountain passes, but no monkeys.
The farmers are very particular and they spray everything to kill bugs.
Thanfully wec are far enough away not to be contaminated by the sprays and nature is normal here.

Blessings!

Sprays are needed on large scale farming, sadly don't do much good in many ways but a nation needs food. So long as the baboons stay up in the mountain passes and don't come down you are OK.

I have been shocked to see how the monkeys are taking over everywhere, up in the mountains with baboons, the North coast not something that was a problem in years gone by has now become more prevalent.

We have a serious dislike of anny poison lady Joan.
Yes, they contol it very well here, as there is no spraying when the bees are brought in for pollination, but after that then the spraying starts. With our strong winds they carry the spray wafts for miles around and many people are moaning about it.

Funny, now that you mention it, I can't remember seeeing any monkeys at the North coast.
But that was long ago when we did the Eskom towers.
They can indeed become a big problem.

Blessings!

Everywhere we have gone over the last 5 years are all adding "Monkey Proof" to windows with warnings to lock up tight when out, not something we experienced previously. No leopards or bigger cats to thin the troops out, yes fast becoming a problem!

When farmers are aware of pesticide damage to environment most will find alternative ways, I remember my dad growing up used a one week gap to spray for fruit flies only, why the timing or what he used unfortunately I do not remember.

It sounds like you guys will have to control that population soon my friend, else there's going to be a lot of monkey trouble.
Yes, the farmers here are also very responsible, but like I said winds can carry that stuff very far.
The people all know when the spraying is on and they complain about their chests. Luckily it doesn't affect us. Yet.

Blessings and hope that you guys will have a good week!
