I have some beauties and the normal humor to show you today.
Look at this little thirsty beauty that arrived at the water bottle in the heat. Marian has just refilled the bottle with fresh cold water for them.
A lovely variety of birds and some fun for you to watch here. A little dove above, some Cape White-eyes, and some cheeky Cape Robin-chats to entertain you. We have an abundant bird life here in the garden and I will show you today, for the first time, the new robin-chats after the last ones were killed. So come and enjoy the post.

She was a bit shy to be on camera and tried to hide behind her foot.
The official bird bath inspector arrived unannounced as usual.
Zac, he said, I think that to avoid a fine you should fix this bloody crack.
In fact, he was just out to score a free bath.
Then his wife arrived to sit on the crack and he must have told her , as she also gave me a dirty look.
The dirty look was more than enough for her to also take a free bath, as if to say to me, you deserve it.
There you have it, life in our garden is always interesting. And whenever we can't go out, I sit and stare through the study window at the garden. Interesting sights galore, to keep me busy for hours.
Our power is now being cut off again at 4, and I will only be around later tonight. But there is nothing that we can do about it, as our country suffers from electricity blackouts.

What is the state in your part of Africa now? I had seen some footage awhile back with all this rioting and looting going on in one of the cities, where people were just emptying out the stores. I haven't heard much since there has been so much going on in Canada, then the war in the Ukraine.
Hope you and Marion are well and it seems you live in a fairly safe part of Africa.
Now that is what I wanted, as if I can get a smile then I am happy.
Yes the the black out situation is not getting any better, but there are some plans for our province to generate it's own electricity.
Things we very bad here a while ago for mostly political reasons and one faction stoked up the unemployed people to go on a looting spree. Much damage was caused.
Yes there are serious troubles on this planet that we call earth and we hope that the Ukraine issue will not spark a nuclear war.
We are safe for now, as we live on the southern tip of the African continent and there is only gang wars going on here.
