RE: Mystery and Silhouettes!

Yes indeed back home now, actually been home for a bit but was tired and had a rest for an hour or so, then was watching the end of the days Tour De France now catching up on here

The Church we go to is St Marys in Dartmouth a lovely small semi modern building and church, the Food Pantry is by St Anthony of Padua, a church over 100 years old I would say and beautiful inside, i will take my camera next week and get some shots of both he food pantry setup but also the church

Ye sit best to wait, Lulu would love to go to Church on Sundays here but they are busier than weekdays and I would prefer we join virtually rather than going there with many people

Good luck with things opening up for you to preach

Oh, I love those little old churches JJ.
They have such great characters and every time when I enter one, I can hear the clouds of witnesses whispering "Hallelujah"!
I bet that you can get some great shots of the insides.

Not a good idea to sit in crowds with this Covid thing not having played itself out yet.
Virtual is a better option in my view.

Thanks, we will have to see how it goes.

I to love old churches, St Anthonys is having work done at the moment and has scaffolding on the spire, so outside its not so good for photos but I will get shots when it is finished, but It has the kind of feel of the style of St Patricks cathedral in NYC which I will show sometime when I get shots :)

Funny you mention Hallelujah, that's the song i played as we were driving away from the church yesterday

I saw on the news here this morning a couple of local colleges have had spikes of CoVID and have gone back to online classes, sadly i expect to see lots of that

Many of the old churches have similarities JJ, as the churches employed one popular chief designer in the old days and all of the smaller churches had to follow variants of the main design.
We had a guy here called Herbert Baker and many of the towns here have similar styled Herbert Baker church buildings.

Glad that you also like the Hallelujah song and what a coincidence lol.

That's why guys like us are high risk and best that we stay away from groups of people.
A friend is a senior minister at a church that is closed now under the Covid lockdown rules.
So they decided to also take his mother in law out of the old age home, as some people in another part of the home died of Covid.

They took their mother home not realizing that she was also Covid positive and my friend and his wife also got the Covid.
But thankfully all three of them have pulled through and they are now okay.

We might not be so lucky, so best not to take any chances my friend.

Yes Thats true churches of various faith had architects or designers that they favored and you can see similar designs all around

Thats great that your friends all pulled through, indeed we have to be sensible and careful without getting paranoid, finding the right balance is the key

I cannot argue with our reasoning and in my mind the correct balance is keep ourselves apart and to only take isolated walks when we can.
Although we have now been downgraded to level 1 of the lockdown, Covid is still around and there are murmurs that a backlash might start to appear!

Thats what I am trying to do as well, I go to the supermarket in the seniors hour early morning when it is very quiet, and avoid people to the max as much as we can

Backlashes are appearing in various countries around the world sadly

You certainly have a great system and our hands are suffering from all of the sanitizer spraying lol.
So your idea of virtual church id the best.

They are saying here that covid will still be around for at least another 3 years.
