I upload this for myself for memory.
Yesterday (on 2021.04.17) I went to Budapest for this little cutie.
I arrived at the Budapest Keleti (eastern) railway station around 10:50.

This photo was taken in Szolnok, at my former housemate (we had separate rented rooms previously) after I fed my bird with mice and chicken meat.
I went home with the bus departed from Szolnok at 18:40, and I arrived at home around 20:30.

What is that Bird? :) I had also before one similar I found it in the forest. Also we had 2 owls before. But as soon as they recovered they fly away.
She is a female Harris's hawk.
She is not from a forest. I bought her from a breeder.
She is my third Harris's hawk. You can teach your Harris's hawk to fly to your arm in 3-4 weeks.
By the way, you can also buy owls from breeders.
These things are true in Hungary and in some other countries, including the United Kingdom.
For example the USA is different. You need to be a falconer in the USA to (legally) own a Harris's hawk.
Wow I wouldn't mess with this chick. Does it bite? On the last pic it looks like it has grabbed you by the throat :)
She will be actually quite big with a length of 48-62 cm, and a wingspan of 105-130 cm.
Yeah the grown up is impressive even on wikipedia image. How long does it take to grow?
A few months.
It is impressive, I wish I could have the opportunity to see one of those birds up close, they are great.
You may probably find falconers in your area. They probably have some.
Here in the third world, it is not allowed to have these birds, it is illegal and they are not available for sale or adoption.
