Today I was busy making dozens of phone calls to look for a possible rent with my Harris's hawk in or around (maximum 30 km away from) Szolnok, Hungary. My former housemate called me in the evening that her brother would allow me with my Harris's hawk to stay in his house, but there is no electricity and no tap water in that house. The heating in the winter is solved by burning wood, and the light in the evening is solved by burning candles.
The house is on the edge of Szolnok city, Hungary.
Tomorrow (on 2022.08.14) we will personally discuss the details. If everything is good, then I will take a look at the house on Monday (on 2022.08.15), and I will move in later.
I said to her on the phone that I accept that there is no electricity and no tap water in the house. This is an emergency, so I accept almost everything in the current circumstances. I do not want to become homeless. I am happy for every possible solution. Even for this. My current primary goal is to avoid becoming homeless with my Harris's hawk.
I know. This is like going back to the middle age. But if there is no other choice, then I accept this. If I move into that house, then I will need to buy a small solar charger to be able to charge my smartphone. Of course I will not be able to use my laptop with that, let alone my amateur radio transceiver (Yaesu FT-450D), but I am willing to accept this.
My current rent at least has electricity, but no tap water, so I partially used to this condition. So I am used to the lack of tap water, but not to the lack of electricity. But I am willing to get used to that too.
I will write more tomorrow, after the personal discussion.
Have a nice day and have a nice weekend.
All the best. Greetings and much love from Hungary.
Good luck!
This is much better than losing your job.
It's stunning to me, how there are houses with no water and electricity in 2022, in Europe, but with solar tech at the point that it's at now, a connection to the grid becomes less and less important.
For 1000 € you can get a lot of solar power + converter and battery.
Thank you. I need it in this situation very much.
Hopefully everything will work properly, including the paperwork (address registering in the government window), otherwise I will lose my job, but at least I will not become homeless. If I will lose my job, then I will live on my pension-like income, which is approximately $250 USD per month.
My former housemate told me that gypsies broke into his brother's house approximately one decade ago, but the gypsies no longer live there.
I am still worried that someone will break in, and steal my Harris's hawk, while I am not at home. The house is near the field, but there are a few neighbors.
I heard that there are many in the countryside of Hungary. Mostly people in deep poverty lives in them. If the government has the "face" to give a pension-like income of approximately $250 USD (or even lower) per month, then I am not surprised that the deep poverty are creating circumstances like this.
That is a lot of money. Currently I do not have that much money, but I will buy something. The salary of my four hours per day part time job is around €203.54 EUR (80 000 HUF), so €1000 EUR is almost five months of income for me.
Worst case you will need to sell some of your Hive to get some more money...Best of luck!
Better than nothing right. Crossing fingers that everything will be noice and well. 🤞🏽💯
Hopefully. Thank you.
