Seagulls in Umag (Croatia)
The seagull is an unavoidable companion of fishermen and towns, sung in many songs and stories. His clicking is a symbol of the sea. Seagulls embody memories of vacation, sea, air and freedom, but they can also be annoying at times.

The reason is their eating habits, which have made them a little lazy - instead of looking for food in and around the sea, they look for food in waste bins, containers and dumps, and so they can become annoying.
If you give some food just to one of them, in just seconds from somewhere many more will come. Therefor, it's better now to give them any food at all.
Trust me, they will make it even without your "help".

All I know about them is what cartoons have shown of them...tbey ear fish and they shit shit...
I didn't see them in cartoons, but I guess that's what they do.
Try Finding Nimo...then I saw them in Chicago Party Aunt too in one if the episodes
Beautiful photos, Sea-gulls are one of the beautiful birds I believe especially to me and you have already mentioned that they are the unavoidable companion of fishermen... Really love the photographs...

You captured great photos of the birds. Seagulls can be annoying when they hang around looking for a handout but are known as the cleaners of the earth. With their scavenging they rid many cities and towns of garbage.
Yeah, they even began "attacking" waiters and waitresses carrying food to outdoor testaurant tables in some places.
Wow! These seagulls are really aggressive. I’ve seen them hanging around fast food outlets but never attacking anyone.
