These babies came into Desert Mountain Foster & Rescue on Mother's Day. We were dispatched to an emergency situation where a mama had her babies on a front porch and then promptly ran into the street and was hit by a car.

By the time we arrived the babies were 12 hours old and had still not taken in any milk. Their umbilical cords were still attached and they were very hot.

With temperatures reaching 107 on Sunday, they were approaching a critical situation. Teetering on life and death. It was imperative that we get them into a cooling station and get them fluids as quickly as possible.

Once we arrived back at the rescue they were treated for dehydration and were placed on kitten formula.
For just being days old....three to be exact they are thriving and doing well.

Welcome home Zen & Zephyr!!
