An extensive list of games on HIVE being updated throughout 2021
The truth is that I saw 5 and I think it's great that they implement the games, but the games look like NES games, I know it's not easy, but isn't there something in development like Lost Relics? something that looks like a current game.
There are several games in development on Hive that should be taking things to the next level. The issue is those kinds of games tend to take years to develop if they make it. Many people including myself are also quite new to game development and need some time to grow into the game worlds we want to create.
The solo developer behind Lost Relics has quite a few years of experience to be able to do what he has done. He has also spent quite a fair amount of money buying into the Enjin ecosystem and time developing his game.
Game development is quite a risky venture with most games never getting finished. It’s also not uncommon for someone to think they can make a game in 2 years and it instead takes 5 to 10 years. So the more talented developers and those with a money focus on the bigger blockchains and the ETH sidechains. That kind of money is not expected here as things are.
Many here just need time. They need to learn. They need to network with others. They are often working with almost no budget which means doing things the hard way.
The good news is there are some developers that are looking into Hive that are already a couple of years into development. The bad news is some of them have already passed us over for other more attritive blockchains that they can expect to make a lot more money release in.

😅 if it was all perfect, they all would be rich! =)
Either way, its edge development of a new industry, so its hard to please all directions of the wider gaming industry. It will come with time. It's getting better and better, I can already see a massive push since last year. Needs more collaborations for investment and proper marketing.
Lost Relics the game? I think the closest to that one right now is the "Human History", but there will be a very good one, still in development by @enjar (not yet connected to HIVE, but will be, check the roadmap). Check the Demo: https://enjargames.itch.io/nightly-dungeon

There are so many games in development you are going need another post one day as this one will hit the character posting limit!
As far as efforts being made I'm trying to make it easier for more to make the games they want on Hive. It's just a slow road since I'm quite new still myself.

Yeah... I am thinking on a lighter format, for "updates". And then yearly doing a bit of a more selective one, with some of the biggest highlights. Still finding my way around writing which is not my thing.
