¡Hola Chicos!
El día de ayer fue el día de las madres y para mi comenzó súper temprano porque debía empacar un pastel que había hecho para la venta y por supuesto, debía ofrecerlo a mis posibles compradores.
Es primera vez que hago esto por lo que fue toda una aventura, pero ya eso se los cuento en otro post, al igual que mi jornada laboral durante el día de las madres 😅 jajaja.
Cuando por fin me desocupé y volví a casa mi esposo y mi hijo estaban esperándome porque habíamos planeado hacer una parrillada para celebrar mi día.
Mi esposo me dijo que le gustaría que comprara algo para mi, pero sinceramente yo prefiero hacer algo que podamos disfrutar todos. Es por eso que junto a mi hijo nos ideamos este plan bien chévere.
Desde el día anterior compramos algunas cosas, porque ya era de noche cuando lo pensamos, y el resto se compraría al día siguiente.

Yesterday was Mother's Day and for me it started super early because I had to pack a cake I had made for sale and of course, I had to offer it to my potential buyers.
It's the first time I do this so it was quite an adventure, but I'll tell you about that in another post, just like my workday during Mother's Day 😅 hahaha.
When I finally got unoccupied and returned home my husband and son were waiting for me because we had planned to have a barbecue to celebrate my day.
My husband told me that he would like me to buy something for me, but honestly I prefer to do something that we can all enjoy. That's why my son and I came up with this cool plan.
We bought a few things the day before, because it was already dark when we thought of it, and the rest would be bought the next day.
Fue una mala idea dejar lo más importante, la carne, para última hora porque parecía que todo el mundo iba a hacer parrillada y las carnicerías que quedaban cerca de casa se habían quedado sin carne o estaban cerradas por el día feriado.
Me tocó dar un montón de vueltas hasta que por fin conseguí carne, aunque el corte no era el mejor porque los bistec estaban súper finitos. Pero omitiendo esa parte, lo importante es que teníamos carne para asar.
Así que comenzamos nuestras labores. Entre mi esposo y mi hijo estuvieron encendiendo los carbones, condimentando y cocinando la carne.
Yo mientras estaba en la cocina friendo unas papas.
It was a bad idea to leave the most important thing, the meat, for the last minute because it seemed that everyone was going to barbecue and the butcher shops that were close to home had run out of meat or were closed for the holiday.
I had to go around a lot until I finally got some meat, although the cut was not the best because the steaks were super thin. But leaving that part aside, the important thing is that we had meat to grill.
So we started our chores. Between my husband and my son they were lighting the coals, seasoning and cooking the meat.
I was in the kitchen frying some potatoes.
De vez en cuando salía, supervisaba un poco para ver como iba esa carne. Tenía buena pinta a pesar de no ser la ideal para las parrilladas.
Con buena música de fondo estábamos haciendo nuestra comida deliciosa y yo disfruté un mundo la experiencia pues teníamos un par de años que no hacíamos esto.
Every once in a while I would go out, supervise a little bit to see how that meat was doing. It looked good even though it was not ideal for grilling.
With good music in the background we were making our delicious food and I enjoyed the experience because we hadn't done this for a couple of years.
Mi hijo también ayudó a cocinar. Él adora el mundo culinario y nos ha dicho que de grande quiere ser chef. Así que aprovechó de intervenir durante el proceso. Su papá le estuvo explicando la forma correcta de hacerlo y así pudo experimentar el ser asador.
Por la falta de experiencia se le metió humo en los ojos 😂 justo cuando le estaba tomando las fotos. Fue bien chistoso. Pero tranquilos, no pasó nada, fue algo de un momento nada más.
Ya luego le quedó la experiencia y no acercó más su cara al humo 😂.
My son also helped cook. He loves the culinary world and told us he wants to be a chef when he grows up. So he took the opportunity to intervene during the process. His dad was explaining to him the right way to do it and so he was able to experience being a griller.
Due to his lack of experience he got smoke in his eyes 😂 just when he was taking the pictures. It was really funny. But don't worry, nothing happened, it was just for a moment.
Then he got the experience and didn't bring his face closer to the smoke 😂.
Picamos la carne, servimos junto a las papitas fritas y adicional hice una ensalada para completar el plato.
Para ser algo sencillo, logramos un platillo bastante completo y delicioso. Ahora tocaba disfrutarlo.
Adoré celebrar de esta forma junto a mi familia, pues ellos son lo más importante para mi. Además todo esto son experiencias que se atesoran en el alma y vale más que cualquier cosa en el mundo. ♥
We chopped the meat, served it with the french fries and I also made a salad to complete the dish.
For something simple, we achieved a very complete and delicious dish. Now it was time to enjoy it.
I loved celebrating this way with my family, because they are the most important thing for me. Besides all these are experiences that are treasured in the soul and worth more than anything in the world. ♥
