A University Reunion
My time as a university student was marked by extraordinary moments, in which I not only cultivated great knowledge from the academic point of view, but also strong bonds of friendship, which today I can proudly affirm that they are relationships forged in the heat of solidarity, empathy
and sincerity. Undoubtedly this stage of my life is one of the most special and vibrant that I can remember, since it was several years in which a sea of feelings and emotions hit me constantly, but thanks to the perseverance and support provided by great friends I was able to weather the storms and thus obtain the longed-for university degree.

Un Reencuentro Universitario
Mi etapa como estudiante universitario estuvo marcada por momentos extraordinarios, en los cuales no solo cultivé grandes conocimientos desde el punto de vista académico, sino que también fuertes lazos de amistad, los cuales el día de hoy con mucho orgullo puedo afirmar que se tratan de relaciones forjadas al calor de la solidaridad, la empatía y sinceridad. Sin duda alguna esta etapa de mi vida es una de las más especiales y vibrantes que puedo recordar, ya que se trató de varios años en los cuales un mar de sentimiento y emociones me golpean constantemente, pero gracias a la perseverancia y el apoyo brindado por grandes amigos se pudieron sobrellevar las tormentas y así obtener el tan anhelado título universitario.
In this life it is normal to meet different types of friends, there are those who accompany us only for a certain season, while others seem to be present forever, but to tell the truth I am still too young to determine which were those who will be by my side until the end of my days, so for the moment I play with everyone and I am proud to see how certain friendships remain persevering and between us is still forming a bond that appeared breakable.
En esta vida es normal encontrarse con diversos tipos de amigos, están los que nos acompañan solo por cierta temporada, mientras que otros pareciera que estarán presentes por siempre, pero a decir verdad aún soy muy joven para determinar cuáles eran esos que estarán a mi lado hasta el final de mis días, así que por los momentos me las juego con todos y me siento orgulloso de poder ver como ciertas amistades siguen siendo perseverantes y entre nosotros se sigue formando un lazo que aparecieron rompible.
Karin and Antonio are that pair of friends who to this day have been unconditional with me, we met by chance, almost in the twilight of our journey through college, but even so we managed to cohere in a very deep way, because despite coming from different backgrounds and have very different ways of seeing life, we managed to connect through our common ground and always knew how to be tolerant and respectful of the opinions of others and I think that was the key to the success of a relationship that remains alive and strong.
Karin y Antonio son Ese par de amigos que hasta hoy en día han sido incondicional conmigo, nos conocimos por un azar del destino, casi en el ocaso de nuestro transitar por la universidad, pero aun así logramos cohesionarnos de manera muy profunda, ya que a pesar de proceder de orígenes distintos y contar con maneras de ver la vida muy diferente, logramos conectarnos a través de nuestros puntos en común y siempre supimos ser tolerantes y respetuosos ante las opiniones de los otros y creo que esa fue la clave para el éxito de una relación que se mantiene viva y fuerte.
We graduated in different graduating classes, Antonio belongs to the 101, I to the 103 and Karin to the 104, which marks different directions, since once we graduated from our Alma Mater we had to face life in the best possible way and, therefore, little by little our paths were opening, to the point of finding ourselves separated by state and national borders, which undoubtedly conditioned our meetings and our relationship in a very strong way.
Nos graduamos en promociones distintas, Antonio pertenece a la 101, yo a las 103 y Karim a la 104, lo cual marca rumbos diferentes, ya que una vez egresados de nuestra Alma Mater nos tocó enfrentarnos a la vida de la mejor manera posible y, por lo tanto, poco a poco nuestros caminos se fueron abriendo, hasta el punto de encontrarnos separados por fronteras estadales y nacionales, lo cual sin duda alguna condicionó de forma muy fuerte nuestros encuentros y nuestra relación.
But it is here where I am fully convinced that when a seed is sown in fertile soil and is cared for over time, sooner or later it will bear fruit and that same thing happens with friendships, no matter how far we are in this XXI Century, technologies help us to get closer through many means and so it was that through an eventual message, a call or a photograph that university friendship kept its flame burning patiently waiting for the longed-for reunion.
Pero es aquí en donde estoy plenamente convencido de que cuando una semilla es sembrada en tierra fértil y es cuidada a través del tiempo esta tarde o temprano te dará frutos y eso mismo sucede con las amistades, sin importar lo lejos que nos encontremos en este Siglo XXI las tecnologías nos ayudan a acercarnos a través de muchos medios y así fue que por medio de algún eventual mensaje, una llamada o una fotografía esa amistad universitaria mantuvo su llama encendida esperando de forma paciente el anhelado reencuentro.
Six years have passed since the last time the three of us walked together through the spaces of the University City of Caracas, in this time physical features of maturity appeared on our faces, the experiences were accumulating in each of our hearts and the stories are more diverse than in our times as students, But incredibly the friendship still has those values with which it was born and it is precisely for this reason that today we proudly embraced each other again as if time had not passed, our conversations flowed again as in those times and the memories of our time as students made us smile and enjoy a very special moment.
Pasaron 6 años desde la última vez que los tres caminamos juntos por los espacios de la Ciudad Universitaria de Caracas, en este tiempo rasgos físicos de madurez aparecieron en nuestro rostro, las experiencias se fueron acumulando en cada uno de nuestros corazones y las historias son más diversas que en nuestros tiempos de estudiantes, pero increíblemente la amistad sigue contando con aquellos valores con la cual nació y es justamente por esta razón que hoy con mucho orgullo nos volvimos a abrazar como si el tiempo no hubiera pasado, nuestras conversaciones volvieron a fluir como en aquella época y los recuerdos de nuestra etapa como estudiantes nos hicieron sonreír y disfrutar de un momento muy especial.
It is incredible to walk again through the facilities of that University that not only formed us academically, but also forged our character, bit our personality and gave us those friends that today I can proudly say that they are like my brothers in life, Since in this case both Antonio and Karim are those little rays of light that illuminate in moments of darkness, they are the soul of the party in times of celebration and the helping hand that supports and accompanies you at the time of a problem, that is to say they are invaluable people, which I hope and I have faith in life that they are those friends who last and accompany us forever.
Es increíble volver a caminar por las instalaciones de esa Universidad que no solo nos formó académicamente, sino que forjó nuestro carácter, mordió nuestra personalidad y nos regaló a esos amigos que hoy con mucho orgullo puedo afirmar que son como mis hermanos de vida, ya que en este caso tanto Antonio como Karim son esos rayitos de luz que iluminan en los momentos de oscuridad, son el alma de la fiesta en los tiempos de celebración y la mano amiga que te apoya y acompaña al momento de un problema, es decir se trata de personas invaluables, las cuales espero y tengo fe en la vida de que se tratan de esos amigos que duran y nos acompañan por siempre.
It took 6 years to meet again, but destiny has played in our favor and this time we meet again in the same country, walking through the streets perhaps in different cities, but always having in common our passage through Caracas, it is in this way that I am totally sure that 6 years will not pass again to see us again, but this meeting has marked a turning point in our personal history and from now on the contact between the three of us will be greater and more frequent and the reunions will no longer be an occasional activity, but part of our daily life, which will continue to strengthen our friendship and at the same time will not be filled with many more joys, more common stories and new adventures to go through.
Pasaron 6 años para volvernos a encontrar, pero el destino ha jugado nuestro favor y en esta ocasión nos encontramos de nuevo en el mismo país, caminando por las calles tal vez de diversas ciudades, pero siempre teniendo en común nuestro paso por Caracas, es de esta forma como estoy totalmente seguro de que no volverán a pasar 6 años más para volvernos a ver, sino que este encuentro ha marcado un punto de inflexión en nuestra historia personal y de ahora en adelante el contacto entre los tres será mayor y más frecuente y los reencuentros ya no serán una actividad eventual, sino parte de nuestra cotidianidad, lo cual seguirá fortaleciendo nuestra amistad y al mismo tiempo no irá llenando de muchas más alegrías, más historias comunes y nuevas aventuras por las cual transitar.
