Con mucha emoción estuvimos reunidos en casa de mi adorado padre. Muchas personas comentan que las personas de antes duraban más que las de ahora, pero para mí es falso ja,ja,ja. Hemos superado muchas situaciones que pueden alterar nuestro metabolismo, y se puede paralizar todo nuestro cuerpo, pero también veo muchos jóvenes que parecen viejos de 100 años. En esta oportunidad puedo decir que mi viejo ha llegado a sus ochenta años con mucha energía, es de gran bendición escuchar todos sus cuentos, su buen sentido del humor, poder ver a sus amistades con el agrado que comparten sus historias. Cuando mi abuela murió, mi padre decía que quería morir a la edad de mi abuela, mi abuela murió a los 81 años, ahora dice que eso que dijo era jugando.
El cumpleaños de mi padre fue el día 13 de septiembre, ese día tuve que despedir a mi hija, ella volvía a Chile, ese día a mi padre le llevaron dos tortas una de tres leches y la otra de panadería enorme.
Decidieron que para el sábado 16 de septiembre le harían un almuerzo, pensé que solo era un almuerzo y a la 1 de la tarde estaría en mi casa, pues no, esto se prolongó. Pasamos un día bien especial, y para alegría de todos mi padre la pasó muy bien.

My father's birthday was on September 13, that day I had to say goodbye to my daughter, she was going back to Chile, that day they brought my father two cakes, one with three milks and the other with a huge bakery.

El día fue transcurriendo y nada del almuerzo. Pensé que seria algo rápido, mi padre no quiso que le colocaran la corona, es muy echador de broma y sabia que sus amistades se la desquitarían, dicho por él mismo: "luego me van a echar broma hasta que cumpla los 90 años". Llegó el esperado almuerzo. Estuvo delicioso. ¿Quién no saborea unas ricas tajadas duritas, sin mucha grasa? Me encanta el punto que mi querida Celia, es decir, la esposa de mi papá le da a las comidas, todo es exacto, pudimos disfrutar de una ensalada y el arroz. También el pancito que no puede faltar.

A decir verdad pienso al igual que tú que hoy por hoy la gente vive más y el envejecimiento es más lento y a los 50 años aun las personas se ven muy jóvenes.
